"Mother!!!"
The Eternal Pose of the Valley of the Gods had finally been found. Ayr now held it in his hand.
But before anyone could even catch their breath, the heavens split open.
Massive meteoritesādozens of themādescended through the clouds, their blazing trails casting the entire Totto Land in shadow. The skies themselves trembled under their weight.
Moments earlier, Katakuri had thrown himself before Ayr, begging him to spare the others. They stood in the heart of Whole Cake Islandāthe very core of Big Mom's empire. Yet Ayr's intent wasn't wanton slaughter. The pressure he released wasn't pure killing intent but something far deeperāan overwhelming spiritual force that crushed the soul itself.
It was the same suffocating power that once filled the skies during the battle at the Valley of the Gods.
But this time, it was magnified a hundredfold.
The pirates of Totto Land, who had just begun to relax, froze where they stood. Their instincts screamed death.
"Meteorites?! Whatāwhat is that?!"
"Th-That's Ayr!!"
From above, Ayr hovered silently, his eyes glowing with the divine rings of the Sage. Silver Axe, John, and Ochokuāonce ferocious piratesāhad been struck down in an instant. Even their deaths now felt merciful compared to what followed.
Charlotte BrƻlƩe, trembling, used her Mirror-Mirror Fruit to open a reflective portal. She hurled the Eternal Pose toward Ayr, her hands shaking violently. She knew resistance was useless.
Ayr caught it effortlessly.
He had no intention of completely annihilating Totto Land. Only the outer islands would be erased. The central islandāthe throne of Big Momāwould remain, if only as a scar.
Katakuri's blood-streaked eyes followed Ayr's figure high above. Fear tightened his chest.
"Mother's Devil Fruit is bound to her soul⦠if she sinks into the deep seaāshe'll die!"
He roared in despair, but Ayr's silent gaze held him still. One glance from those Rinnegan eyes sent a chill down his spine. Against that power, even breathing felt like rebellion.
Ayr's mere presence flung him back hundreds of meters, his body crashing through ruins with bone-cracking force.
"The size of that meteorite⦠it's massive! He's going to destroy everything!"
Katakuri struggled to his feet, trembling. "Even with Mother's bounty at five billion⦠even as one of the Yonko⦠she's powerless before him!"
Above, Ayr's golden aura shimmered with divine stillness.
Even now, he remembered Linlin's mercy back in the Valley of the Gods. That single moment of compassion had bought her a sliver of mercy today.
The rest of Totto Land⦠wasn't so fortunate.
"Are we supposed to go after Mother?! Ayr will kill us all!" Cries of panic filled the air.
"MOM!!!"
But there was no response from the sea.
"The Eternal Pose," Ayr said flatly, his tone calm yet absolute. "Hand it over."
BrĆ»lĆ©e bowed her head and obeyed immediately, extending her trembling hands. "P-Please⦠just let Katakuri liveā¦"
Katakuri stepped forward, trident in hand, battered yet unyielding. "I understand your rage, Ayr. But I still have to protect them!"
A faint smile touched Ayr's lips. He pocketed the Eternal Pose. "Your courage⦠is worthy of respect, Katakuri."
The words struck deep. For a moment, silence hung between them. Then Katakuri straightened, shoulders squared despite the blood running down his face.
"So that's how it is," he murmured. "Then take my lifeābut spare the rest."
"You are not my opponent," Ayr said simply.
In the next instant, he vanished.
A blurāthen a thunderous impact. Katakuri was sent crashing backward, his trident shattering from the sheer force of the blow. Yet even through the agony, he stood again.
Below, the pirates could only watch, too terrified to move.
"Katakuri!!!" Cracker's desperate scream echoed from afar.
Brûlée's voice trembled. "Please⦠stop this!"
Ayr's gaze softened, just slightly. "It's over."
He turned to Nagli, who watched silently from a distance. "We're done here. Let's go."
"But Motherā!" Katakuri shouted hoarsely.
"Save her if you can," Ayr replied without turning back. "That's between you and fate."
As he spoke, the heavens rumbled once more.
With a single gesture, Ayr summoned another meteorite. It fellānot toward Whole Cake Island, but into the distant sea, its descent parting clouds like divine judgment. The impact sent waves towering into the sky.
"Meteor⦠meteorite?! That'sāTengai Shinsei!!!"
The pirates screamed in disbelief.
Even after obtaining what he came for, Ayr's power shook the world. His control over the Sage energy was beyond mortal comprehension.
BrĆ»lĆ©e clung to the ground, tears in her eyes. "This guy⦠this monster⦠even Mom couldn't stand against himā¦"
And yet, despite the devastation, Ayr spared the heart of Totto Land. Out of memory. Out of respect. Out of mercy rare for a god.
As Ayr and Nagli vanished into the sky, silence blanketed the ruin below.
The pirates could barely stand. Some collapsed, gasping. Others stared blankly at the horizon.
Charlotte Linlin, the Sea Empress, one of the Four Yonkoādefeated in a single battle.
"This⦠this is the power of immortals," one pirate whispered, his voice trembling. "A power no human can ever touch."
The sky dimmed. The seas raged. And high above the shattered world, Ayr's divine aura faded into the horizonāleaving behind only awe and despair.
