I saw a nightclub while walking down the street; it glowed with blue neon, just like those from the 80s. It was beautiful, very beautiful. I needed to relax a little, so why not go in?
I opened the door and entered the nightclub; it was in a decent state for a place like this.
I went to the counter and sat on one of the stools, and I started to have memories of this place.
Beside me, I saw a beautiful woman with long hair and a black dress; she was smiling at me. And I started to recognize this place; it was where I met my ex-girlfriend.
We spent the night talking; she was the one who kept the conversation going, as I was socially deplorable. But I still tried; it was all I had at the time.
I slapped my face and got up from the stool. I went behind the counter and grabbed some of the drinks. I picked one up, turned it to the back, and read the expiration date.
Luckily, I could drink it. So I took the bottle cap off, grabbed a glass, and poured some of the drink inside.
I went back to my spot at the counter and drank it all in one gulp.
I poured a little more and drank it in one gulp again.
I remembered the taste of the drink; it was sour, so, so sour.
But who cares? What mattered was whether it would end the heartache, at least that's what it seemed to do.
In fact, the drink only increased my stress, it didn't decrease it at all. My God, why does everything in life have to be so complicated?
I grabbed a few more bottles, put them in my bag, and left the nightclub. I headed back to my shack; it seemed like it had been a good day.
Upon returning to the shack, I put everything inside and left only the food and water out.
I stuffed myself like a hungry lion, doing so while playing something on my phone.
I had several videos downloaded because of the boredom of not being able to watch short videos when I didn't have internet, so it was quite effective. But then the phone screen turned off.
I tried to turn the phone on again, but nothing happened.
"What?!" I tried to turn it on again. "Come on, turn on, damn it!"
The phone had run out of battery.
