Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

"Sephiria, are you really not coming with me?"

Lying back in the soft seat of the spacecraft, Raiga stretched his body. He didn't know what material the seat was made of, but it was unbelievably comfortable.

Sephiria placed her hand on Raiga's head and chuckled. "You need my help for such a small mission? You can handle it on your own. It might be a little troublesome, but as long as you're careful, there won't be any danger. As my brother, you need to be a responsible warrior."

I'm worried about you!

Raiga rolled his eyes. He had asked her to come along out of kindness, not because he actually wanted to go on the mission himself.

These battle-obsessed Saiyans… all they think about is fighting. In just a year, Planet Vegeta would be gone, so who cared about some random mission?

Looking at Sephiria's beautiful face, Raiga suddenly felt reluctant to leave. She had taken care of him for so long—it was a shame to think that she might perish along with Planet Vegeta. However, in the end, he chose not to tell her the truth.

Because he knew she wouldn't believe him.

Right now, the entire Saiyan race was under the rule of King Frieza, fighting wars and conquering planets to sell them. To Saiyans, who enjoyed battle more than anything, this kind of life was thrilling.

Aside from King Vegeta, who showed some resistance, most Saiyans had already accepted their current way of life.

Sephiria was his sister, sure, but they hadn't spent much time together. Raiga knew it would be hard to make her believe in the future he had foreseen. And if he revealed this information and the aliens monitoring the Saiyans got wind of it, things could spiral out of control. He might even lose his life.

"When you arrive on Planet Mapa, send me a message. You know how to use the energy detector's communication function, right?"

Sephiria leaned into the spacecraft, fastening Raiga's safety harness. Then she placed a circular device, similar to a helmet, onto his head. It was the ship's control system, which also served as a communication tool.

A faint, pleasant fragrance drifted from her.

"I know, I know. I'll send you a message," Raiga said, enjoying the moment as he leaned in slightly. Sephiria didn't seem to notice.

She playfully smacked his head before stepping out of the spherical spacecraft. As the hatch slowly closed, Raiga saw Sephiria standing a short distance away, waving at him.

A wave of melancholy washed over him. He took one last deep look at Sephiria before commanding the spacecraft to take off.

Sorry, foolish girl. I have to save myself first.

A powerful force pressed down on him as the spacecraft accelerated upward. The landscape below shrank rapidly, blurring into a distant view. Soon, the curved horizon and the planet's atmosphere became smaller and smaller until the ship finally entered the vast, dark expanse of space.

Through the glass, Raiga watched as the blue-and-white Planet Vegeta rapidly shrank into a tiny dot before vanishing from sight.

"I finally left Planet Vegeta."

He exhaled deeply, feeling an unexpected sense of relief. A sharp determination flickered in his eyes as he issued a command to the spacecraft, activating sleep mode.

As he drifted into slumber, the transmission device on his head began feeding combat techniques directly into his mind. The journey from Planet Vegeta to his destination, Planet Mapa, would take about two months. It was quite a long trip—by comparison, it only took a month to travel from Earth to Namek.

During these two months, Raiga would undergo full training in Saiyan combat techniques.

Planet Mapa had been carefully selected by Sephiria as Raiga's mission target. According to the classification system used in the universe, it was only a low-tier planet, with its strongest inhabitants possessing very limited power.

Planets were categorized based on their highest combat power:

Low-tier planets had a maximum combat power below 1,000. Mid-tier planets ranged from 1,000 to 5,000. High-tier planets had power levels exceeding 5,000.

Planet Mapa was considered a low-tier planet, meaning its strongest inhabitants had power levels below 1,000. In fact, according to Sephiria's research, the planet's most powerful warrior didn't even surpass 500.

With Raiga's current combat power of 310, as long as he was cautious, he wouldn't be in any real danger.

At this rate, in just a few years, his strength would completely surpass Planet Mapa's strongest fighters.

The spacecraft sped through space, leaving a long, bright trail behind it. It looked like a comet, but in reality, the "tail" was just an optical illusion caused by the ship's immense speed.

In the boundless void of space, countless stars twinkled against the dark expanse, forming a breathtaking cosmic panorama. On an astronomical scale, the distance between planets was immense. Even two closely shining points of light could be separated by countless light-years.

However, thanks to advanced interstellar technology, traveling across star systems in the Dragon Ball universe was significantly easier. Journeys that would take centuries in other universes could be completed in mere days or months.

A bright streak of light flashed across the dark cosmos before quickly vanishing. Zooming in, one could see that it was a creamy-white spherical spacecraft.

In the blink of an eye, two months had passed since Raiga left Planet Vegeta. His destination—Planet Mapa—was now within reach.

As the spacecraft approached the planet, its sleep mode automatically disengaged. Slowly opening his eyes, Raiga now looked much more mature than he had two months ago. His mind was filled with Saiyan battle strategies, and a thrill of excitement surged within him.

"Planet Mapa… this is my first real step into the Dragon Ball universe."

A smirk appeared on his lips. He needed a strong opponent to test his new abilities.

On Planet Mapa, in the middle of a dried-up riverbed…

A deafening roar filled the air as a red-glowing sphere plummeted through the atmosphere, crashing down with a thunderous impact. A massive cloud of dust billowed into the sky, blotting out the sun. Since the environment was arid, the dust lingered, forming thick layers of haze.

At the crash site, a deep crater, spanning over a hundred meters across, had formed. Its depth was unknown.

At the center of the crater, half-buried in sand and rubble, lay a white, spherical spacecraft. Its surface was charred black, with faint trails of smoke rising from it.

With a soft click, the ship's hatch opened. A small figure emerged, slowly rising into the air.

Brushing off the dust from his clothes, Raiga hovered midair, covering his mouth to block the lingering dust. As he surveyed his surroundings, his eyes took in a landscape of dry, yellow terrain.

There were few trees—only a handful of tall, scraggly shrubs scattered about. Packs of wild beasts roamed in the distance, reminiscent of the African savannah from his previous life.

His journey had begun.
