Chapter 13 - Chapter 13

Senzu Beans!

They were undoubtedly senzu beans.

The moment Raiga saw the legendary senzu beans of the Dragon Ball world appear before him, his breathing became rapid. He shoved Korin aside and clutched the jar filled with senzu beans in his arms, as if a lost traveler in the desert had suddenly stumbled upon an oasis. His eyes were filled with an intense thirst for survival.

That jar was packed full—there had to be at least ten thousand beans inside!

These were life-saving treasures!

"I can't believe there are so many!"

Decades later, senzu beans would become incredibly rare. At one point, Korin even had to harvest them prematurely just so Goku and his friends could each get a few. And let's not forget that glutton Yajirobe—just how many of these precious beans did he waste?!

Every time Raiga thought about those precious beans being squandered, he felt an aching pain in his heart.

To prevent such a tragedy, he had to take them all.

These are mine now.

Korin stumbled back a few steps after being pushed aside. Watching Raiga clutch the jar like a greedy miser, black lines appeared on his forehead.

"That's all there is. Growing senzu beans isn't easy—I can only harvest a few dozen a year. These are what I've saved up over centuries, and I haven't even planted this year's batch yet. At least leave me some seeds, okay?"

Raiga held onto the jar as if it were his lifeline. But after considering the importance of securing a steady future supply, he reluctantly grabbed a handful—about fifty beans—and placed them on the ground.

"No problem. These will be your seeds."

Korin's eyes widened as he stared at the measly fifty beans. Then, he looked at the jar still tightly held in Raiga's arms. A deep sense of loss washed over him—it felt like he had just been reset to zero. But what could he do? The guy in front of him was overwhelmingly strong. As long as he wasn't making a scene, that was already a blessing.

Sighing in defeat, Korin bent down to gather the pitifully small pile of senzu beans.

"Wait a second!" Raiga suddenly called out.

"Huh?" Korin looked up in confusion.

Raiga hesitated for a moment, as if struggling internally. Then, with a pained expression, he snatched some of the beans back from the pile on the ground and returned them to his jar.

"For planting purposes, fifty is a bit much. Here, you can have this instead."

After taking back a handful, only thirty beans remained on the ground.

That's not enough!!

Korin's fur bristled in frustration, but what could he do? With no other choice, he obediently picked up the remaining beans.

So frustrating!

Raiga casually asked, "I heard you have something called 'Ultra Divine Water' here?"

Korin shivered slightly at the question. His whiskers twitched as he replied, "You… you want the Ultra Divine Water too?!"

Senzu beans were just food. Losing some wasn't too big of a deal. But Ultra Divine Water was different—it was a sacred relic that could unlock hidden potential. Hearing Raiga mention it sent a chill down Korin's spine.

Raiga, however, shook his head. "Nah, just asking."

Sure, Ultra Divine Water could unlock hidden power, but it was basically poison. The way it forced out latent potential was far too brutal—nine out of ten people who drank it would just die. Even in the original story, Goku barely survived it thanks to his Saiyan physiology.

Raiga even suspected that drinking that stuff could have long-term consequences.

After all, Goku—despite being a Saiyan—died from a heart virus in the original timeline. What if that was partly due to drinking Ultra Divine Water, combined with years of overusing the Kaio-Ken technique? It could have weakened his heart over time.

Nope. Not worth the risk.

For unlocking potential, the Grand Elder of Namek or the Old Kai from the Supreme Kai's realm were much safer alternatives.

Zero risk, all rewards.

Raiga grinned. "Hahaha, Korin, I'm really satisfied with today's haul. Make sure to grow more senzu beans! I'll be back!"

With a hearty laugh, Raiga leaped off Korin Tower, disappearing into the clouds.

Korin, still holding the small pile of beans, watched Raiga vanish into the distance and silently prayed:

Please… never come back.

The loss today was devastating. Staring at the few remaining senzu beans, Korin could only sigh in despair.

Meanwhile, at the Lookout…

Kami and Mr. Popo had also been watching Raiga's actions from above. As soon as he left Korin Tower, they both sighed in relief.

They were genuinely afraid that Raiga wouldn't be satisfied and would cause trouble. If he had decided to storm the Lookout, that would've been a disaster.

Thankfully, he only took some senzu beans—which, in their eyes, weren't all that valuable anyway.

"Hahaha! That was too easy!"

On his way back, Raiga clutched the senzu bean jar with pure joy.

He popped the lid open, took one bean, and crunched down on it.

"Crack!"

There was no real taste to it, but as soon as he swallowed, an overwhelming warmth spread throughout his body. A surge of energy coursed through him, filling him with strength.

His stomach felt full, and all his fatigue disappeared in an instant.

Raiga's eyes gleamed. "Hahaha! This stuff is amazing!"

With about ten thousand senzu beans in his jar, these would be lifesaving treasures in critical moments. He carefully secured the jar but soon felt uneasy. What if the jar broke? That would be a nightmare.

I need a better storage method.

A thought suddenly struck him.

Capsule Corporation's Hoi-Poi Capsules!

These things were black magic—able to store massive objects in tiny capsules, making them a must-have for any traveler.

Raiga decided he needed to get his hands on some empty capsules. Without hesitation, he changed course and flew toward the nearest city.

Arriving in the City

Earth's technological development was incredibly uneven.

In some villages, people still used oil lamps, while in more advanced areas, they had basic machinery. But in the cities, things were straight out of a sci-fi movie—floating vehicles, suspended highways, and modern skyscrapers.

Raiga soon landed in one of the more developed cities, where Capsule Corp's technology was widely available.

Sure enough, along a busy street, he spotted a store selling capsules and capsule storage devices.

There was just one problem—he had no money.

Raiga patted his pockets. Not a single coin.

Robbing the store? No, he had his pride. A dignified Saiyan wouldn't lower himself to petty theft…

But then, he noticed a small alleyway nearby.

A group of thugs was loitering there, smoking and laughing loudly as they bragged about who they had bullied and how much money they had extorted.

Raiga's lips curled into a smirk.

"Looks like you guys can be of some use."

With a cold gleam in his eyes, Raiga walked straight toward the thugs.

Seven gang members stood against the wall, chatting and laughing, completely unaware of the disaster approaching them.

Just then, a small childlike voice called out:

"Big brothers, do you have a lot of money?"

A four- or five-year-old boy had appeared in front of them.
