Chapter 24 - Chapter 24

The vast universe carried a faint reddish hue near a massive star.

Whoosh!

A streak of light swiftly cut through the deep and silent space, standing out as a bright flash against the dark void. Upon closer inspection, the light revealed itself to be a disc-shaped spacecraft, approximately fifteen meters in diameter—small in scale, with a chubby, compact design.

Through the translucent green canopy, a graceful female Saiyan could be seen reclining calmly against her seat. Suddenly, she opened her eyes, her beautiful gaze flashing with a hint of confusion.

"What was that voice just now? Earth? Someone wants to take me to Earth?"

Could this be some kind of illusion? Having fought countless battles in the universe, she had heard of certain aliens with psychic abilities—some capable of manipulating thoughts and controlling the mind. Feeling suspicious, she chose to ignore the mysterious voice.

As expected, it faded from her mind shortly after.

With a cold smirk on her delicate face, she closed her eyes again to continue resting.

"Sephilia, what's wrong?" A female Saiyan of average appearance, one of her teammates, noticed the energy fluctuations emanating from Sephilia and asked with concern.

Sephilia shook her head calmly. "It's nothing. By the way, do any of you know what kind of place Earth is?"

"Earth? I think it's a remote planet with signs of civilization. The probes detected water resources and plant life, but no valuable rare metals, so it was never listed as a target planet for missions."

"Why do you ask?"

Sephilia replied indifferently, "If my little brother survives and returns, as punishment, I'll have him conquer Earth."

Her teammates burst into laughter. "A mere low-level planet? Sending a lower-class warrior would be enough. Isn't your brother a mid-class warrior? That's overkill. He'd be better off coming with us on missions—he'd grow much faster. Saiyans hone their strength through battle."

"Yeah! How about I train your brother instead? I'm pretty strong myself," a fairly handsome male Saiyan chimed in, clearly trying to impress her.

Sephilia glanced at him briefly before rejecting his offer. "That won't be necessary. My brother will train himself."

She knew exactly what was on these young male Saiyans' minds, but as someone devoted to strength and combat, she was at the peak of her growth period. Romance, in her eyes, was nothing but a hindrance to her training. Other than maintaining a professional relationship with her teammates, she had no interest in unnecessary entanglements.

The male Saiyan who had tried to impress her gave a sheepish smile, disappointed that he couldn't win her over.

A woman as exceptional as Sephilia naturally had no shortage of admirers. Among Saiyans, someone like her—strong, beautiful, and just barely past adulthood—was a rarity on Planet Vegeta. Moreover, she was an elite warrior. If someone managed to pair with her, their offspring would have immense potential to become powerful fighters.

If they failed to impress her during missions, the chances of getting closer to her back on Planet Vegeta would be even slimmer.

But unfortunately, while the admirer had his dreams, the woman had no interest—Sephilia gave them no chance at all.

With that, the conversation ended, and the Saiyans aboard the spacecraft entered a state of rest.

Sephilia crossed her arms, a faint smile appearing on her lips. "Earth... that voice must have something to do with it."

...

Earth, a vast open plain.

Having acquired the Metamoran "Transfer Technique," Raiga was eager to experiment with it.

Guiding his energy as described in his newfound knowledge, he soon realized that theory and practice were two very different things. Despite having a clear grasp of the details, it took him a good while to get the technique to work properly.

After several trials, Raiga gained a general understanding of the "Transfer Technique."

Compared to the Yardratian "Instant Transmission," both techniques served the purpose of spatial travel. However, the Metamoran "Transfer Technique" required the user to lock onto a set coordinate before activating it, and the preparation time was longer than "Instant Transmission." Overall, it wasn't very practical for battle.

But as a method of traveling long distances, it was perfect.

Locking onto a location, he activated the transfer. Raiga's figure flickered across various places on Earth. After testing it a few more times, he was confident he had fully mastered the skill.

By then, his energy was nearly depleted. Sensing the remaining energy within him, he smiled lightly. "That was only within Earth. If I were to attempt interstellar travel, I'd probably be completely drained! Time to try a long-distance transfer."

After restoring his stamina and securing his protective gear, Raiga set his sights on the Moon beyond Earth.

Whoosh!

As he gathered his energy, his body began to blur, transforming into a streak of light. In an instant, he reappeared 380,000 kilometers away, standing on the Moon's uneven terrain. Before him lay a barren landscape covered in dry, loose dust. The weak gravity—only one-sixth of Earth's—made it feel as if he could float away at any moment.

"Hahaha! As expected, the energy cost increases with distance. But compared to the limitations of 'Instant Transmission,' this is a small price to pay."

Satisfied, Raiga grinned as he activated the technique once more, vanishing from the Moon.

From now on, spatial distance was no longer a constraint. It was as if the universe had become a flexible sheet of paper, capable of being folded at will. As long as he had the coordinates of a target planet and sufficient energy, he could reach any star system instantly!

...

A few days later, on a desolate plateau.

This was the very place where Raiga's cargo spaceship had landed when he first arrived on Earth.

Originally, he had thought he would never use the ship again. But, as humans often do, he changed his mind. Before long, he found himself returning here—this time, accompanied by Tights' father, Dr. Brief.

As for Tights herself, she had returned to West City after collecting all the Dragon Balls, now fully focused on preparing her new novel.

The reason for bringing Dr. Brief along was to have him modify the cargo spaceship, transforming it into a gravity training room. Unsurprisingly, when Dr. Brief learned that Raiga possessed an alien spaceship, his scientific curiosity was immediately piqued, and he readily agreed to help.

"So this is the spaceship you were talking about?"

Standing before the cargo ship, Dr. Brief gazed up at the vessel—a 30-meter-long, 8-meter-tall elliptical spacecraft.

Raiga nodded. "That's right. It's just a cargo ship, but it contains advanced alien technology. I believe you'll be able to extract some valuable scientific knowledge from it."
