Chapter 10 - chapter 9:"From Isolation to a Welcome, to a not so welcome Visit".

In the Vacuum of Nothingness

Laughter echoed.

Bright. Joyful. Alive.

It clashed violently against the endless emptiness—like something that refused to be erased.

The void was silent.

Cold.

Endless.

Dead.

But her laughter…

It defied it.

It grew.

It spread.

And slowly—

It began to take shape.

At first, just a ripple.

A distortion in nothingness.

Then—

A figure.

Blurry.

Shifting.

Unstable.

Until finally—

She appeared.

A woman.

Her white hair flowed like silk, drifting weightlessly through the void like strands of moonlight.

Her skin—smooth, pale, flawless.

Porcelain-like.

Perfect.

But what truly stood out—

Were the markings.

On the right side of her chest, a glowing symbol pulsed softly like a heartbeat.

White.

Alive.

Surrounding it—

Fifty dagger-like markings, forming a perfect circle.

Across her entire body, golden pathways stretched like veins beneath her skin, glowing faintly—like divine circuits carrying something ancient.

Something powerful.

Something alive.

And yet—

She smiled.

Her laughter slowly faded…

Then stopped.

A shift.

Her expression changed.

Guilt.

"…My son has finally called me mother…"

Her voice softened.

"…Demos…"

A pause.

"…my baby…"

Her eyes dimmed.

"…it's not time yet."

Silence swallowed the void.

"…not time to tell you what I had to do… to save you."

MEMORY

Her gaze unfocused.

The void trembled—

Then reshaped.

A vision formed before her.

Demos.

His body—

Disintegrating.

Breaking apart into fragments of fading light.

Unraveling.

Vanishing.

"No… no no no—!"

Her voice shattered.

"Please… not you too…!"

Her hands trembled violently.

"I don't want to be alone again!"

"Stop… STOP DISINTEGRATING!"

Panic took over.

Raw.

Real.

"What have I done…?"

"My celestial veins… they're consuming his vitality…"

Her teeth clenched.

"…I didn't think it would go this far…"

For the first time—

She looked afraid.

Then—

That fear died.

Replaced by something colder.

Sharper.

Unbreakable.

Resolve.

"No…"

"I'll fix this."

Power began to rise.

Slow.

Then violent.

"I'll stop it."

Her eyes burned with terrifying light.

"Even if I have to tear reality apart."

LAW OF DESTRUCTION.

The void screamed.

Space fractured.

Time shattered.

Everything around Demos' collapsing body—

broke apart.

Anything unstable—

Anything failing—

Anything collapsing—

Was erased.

Then—

LAW OF CREATION.

Golden light flooded the void.

Warm.

Endless.

Absolute.

Demos' soul—

On the verge of fading—

Was caught.

Held.

Stabilized.

"You're not disappearing…"

Her voice trembled.

"Not while I'm here."

Then—

She used it.

The ability she rarely touched.

"THE CHAMBERS OF NOTHINGNESS."

Reality folded inward.

A deeper void opened—

Beyond time.

Beyond existence.

She stepped inside.

And reshaped it.

Metal formed.

Glass.

Light.

A structure rose within the emptiness.

A chamber.

A capsule.

She gently placed Demos' broken body inside.

Preserved.

Suspended.

Paused between life and death.

Her hand rested against the glass.

"…I'll find a way…"

A whisper.

"I swear it…"

Time lost meaning.

Hours passed.

Days.

Years.

Centuries.

Three hundred years.

Still—

No answer.

Still—

No solution.

Still—

No way to fully stop the damage caused by her own power.

"…damn it…"

Her fists clenched.

"…I'm running out of time…"

PRESENT

Her eyes snapped open.

The memory shattered instantly.

Gone.

Only silence remained.

She exhaled slowly.

"…Grandma."

Without hesitation—

She tore open the Void of Nothingness.

A jagged tear split reality itself.

This time—

She stepped through it.

The Palace Gate

Reality changed instantly.

The endless void vanished.

Replaced by—

Stone.

Wind.

Sound.

Life.

She blinked once.

"…What the hell?"

Massive gates towered before her.

Guards.

Armed.

Alert.

Weapons already raised.

She frowned slightly.

"…Did I walk out again?"

"WHO GOES THERE?!"

The shout exploded toward her.

Sharp.

Hostile.

Immediate.

Spears leveled.

Swords drawn.

Magic gathering.

No hesitation.

Because to them—

She had appeared out of thin air.

An intruder.

"The princess isn't seeing anyone!" one guard barked. "State your identity!"

She stared at them.

Then—

She laughed.

Light.

Carefree.

Completely out of place.

"Ahahahaha…"

"I am the princess."

The guards froze.

Then scowled.

"You expect us to believe that?" one snapped. "The princess hasn't left her chamber in years—"

He stopped.

Mid-sentence.

The air changed.

Heavy.

Crushing.

Alive.

His instincts screamed.

Slowly—

He looked down.

Two blades.

Dark gold.

Humming with terrifying power.

His throat tightened.

Her voice dropped.

Cold.

Lethal.

"If you finish that sentence…"

A pause.

"…my grandmother will be cleaning up corpses."

Silence.

The guards trembled.

Weapons shook.

No one dared to move.

Because now—

They understood.

Then—

A voice thundered from within the palace:

"BRING THAT CHILD TO MY STUDY!"

The pressure vanished instantly.

The guards stepped aside.

No one spoke.

No one questioned her.

Ten Minutes Later

A massive chamber.

Walls lined with ancient books, scrolls, and glowing runes.

Power lingered in the air.

Heavy.

Ancient.

Two figures sat inside.

Waiting.

A knock.

"Enter."

The door opened—

And she moved instantly.

"GRANDPA!"

She leapt forward, wrapping her arms tightly around the old man.

Then spun—

And kissed her grandmother's cheek.

"Grandma!"

The older woman froze—

Then grabbed her shoulders.

"Child! Where have you been?! Do you know how long you disappeared?!"

"…I… I didn't mean to…"

"I was just—"

She stopped.

No excuse came.

BOOM.

"CHILD—!"

The grandfather's voice exploded.

"DID YOU GIVE BIRTH AGAIN?!"

The room shook violently.

"WHO'S THE BASTARD THAT TOUCHED MY GRANDDAUGHTER?!"

"YOU OLD FOOL!" the grandmother snapped instantly.

"WHAT NONSENSE ARE YOU SHOUTING?!"

She turned—

Ready to dismiss it—

Then saw her granddaughter's face.

Pale.

Frozen.

Eyes wide.

"…wait…"

Her vision spun—

And she collapsed.

"Grandmother?!"

The old man sighed.

"She'll live."

Then his gaze sharpened.

"…now answer me."

Silence.

A rift opened behind the girl.

"…Only one man has ever touched me."

Her voice was quiet now.

"…and he's long dead."

A pause.

"I'm going to see my mother."

The old man frowned.

"…come back and explain everything."

"And don't stay too long at that woman's temple."

She stepped backward into the void.

"Okay… Grandpa."

And vanished.
