Chapter 287 - chapter 87

The white 'life' dragon's light exploded and filled the room. Then, as if frozen, the light stopped mid-motion. The fragments of light then started to turn clockwise, goring a storm of light with Jin at it's eye!

She wanted to speak but as thoughts began to formulate, more of Hou's inheritance entered her mind. Within Hou's will he had also used causality to ensure that Jin would absorb all the power he had left her, unlike Hamar's inheritance which was incomplete.

The light storm continued to spin clockwise, slowly shrinking until all the light condensed within Jin's forehead.

She slowly opened her eyes and she realised that she had become something new...no longer a cultivator alone but a mage too!

She had gained a greater understanding of the world, beyond laws was the mana which made the substance of laws. She could use laws, and the mana in them, to use magic following the rules Hou explained within his inheritance she had just absorbed.

Qi Lan held back her surprise and snapped her fingers causing a ring to show itself under her, it rose up and moved under Jin's feet.

"This is the master formation if the great-formation grid, I shall give you control. I need to go now, I will be within the great-formation but in an area you cannot access. Do your best, it is enough or so I was told. Still I will send over your elder sister to help; she has been taught by me much longer and will be able to help."

She stood up and held her hand over the rings of QI and laws under Jin, controlling them externally and causing her physical body to flicker and eventually disappeared.

She reappeared in a separate room which she had attached to the main formation grid but isolated enough. She could use it's power without anyone noticing, it was only known by Mo Huai, the Sect Leader and herself.

"I wonder why I was told to give the control to Jin and not Yan...my disciple, Mo Huai, you wouldn't say this without reason..." She sighed, "Let's hope you were right."

Jin stared where Qi Lan had stood a few moments prior and held a melancholic smile, "I will!"

She walked over and sat down, as she did she began her observation of the main control formation. It had similarities to another move she had heard of.

And as she thought that, she felt a fluctuation in the main circle, and in front of her another person appeared. Jin's face lit up and she mimicked a bow, unable to while still sitting, "Elder Sister Yan!"

"Junior Sister Jin, you took over the main control grid?"

Jin chuckled, "Somehow..." She held out her hand, "Though I wouldn't mind some help, in fact I have a way to make sure we can both work in the great-formation control at once"

Yan took her hand and sat down, facing Jin, "Both of us? How? Looking at the formation it looks to be similar to my Myriad Formations killer move...I don't see a way."

Jin smiled and summoned a blade using the control formation, moving an object from one place to another was one of the major uses of the formation.

She cut open her palm and let the blood float upwards, defying gravity. She held the blade out to Yan, "I'm a Blood Dao cultivator..." She continued under her breath, "...and now a magus."

She rose her voice, "Trust in me! Don't you think there's a reason I was chosen to control the grand formation with my little experience rather than you?"

Yan smiled, "Don't worry sister, I believe you." She took the blade from Jin's hand and sliced her palm open too, "I'm ready."

Hamar looked inwards and felt the Inner True World within his soul, using that as a base he tried to use it to find Mo Huai.

Mo Huai had become a part of his Inner True World, it would make sense that he could find him through that connection. His intuition stemming from his consciousness connected into his Inner True World and he felt a strong connection to his Master!

"There! I guess normally intuition is the consciousness connecting into the Sea of Worlds perhaps?" He theorised.

Hou heard this and commented on his own, "I assume intuition is a combination of connecting with the Sea of Worlds and the world...and you being the controller of the Inner True World means one of those points is strengthned, therefore strengthening I tuition to anything connected to the Inner True World such as Master."

Hamar nods, "That check out, we'll have that as the running theory for now. Now..."

He shifted his weight down and felt the sandy ground with his feet. Then while people walked all around him, he used his advanced aura and footwork to vanish.

He pushed of the floor but unlike Hou's attempt, there was no massive explosion. In fact there was no movement, Hamar was so advanced that if he didn't want to be seen, he could easily block any movement stemming from his running.

He skimmed across the air, "Master," he spoke aloud to the air, seemingly that is.

Mo Huai jumped and undid his invisibility, popping back into Hamar's physical sight rather than him needing to use intuition to gain a location and mental sight.

He looked Hamar in the eyes, "I...did not expect you to find me. Not even Sect Leader can do that...must be my connection after becoming a part of your world, I guess your subordinate in a way."

He relaxed and continued, "I passed on the wills and message...the ones that Hou wanted to give to Jin. You didn't have to hide that you had a split consciousness of Hou, did you?"

Hamar looked guilty, "I'm sorry it's just...oh nevermind, I'm sorry. I'll tell him now, about you passing on what he wanted."

He closed his eyes and tapped into his Inner True World with his consciousness, "Hou..."
