Chapter 317 - chapter 115

Across the battlefield, lines of laws created rivers. Rivers of fire, earth, stone, water, air, plasma, words, red, confusion, laws flowed in those patterns.

Any instructions simply washed away and absorbed into the formation. They all connected to one small circle, hidden within a mountain. Laws came in and out of that control circle constantly.

Inside, Jin and Yan sit facing eachother. They held their hands together covered in a whirling ribbon of blood connecting the two of them.

Yan wavered and fell back, though was quickly supported back by Jin's grasp. Inside her mind, she had comprehensive knowledge of magic which helped her to use the Grand Formation in new ways but now she had to defend against the elites.

Despite everything Yan and Jin were only beginners, they weren't Elders, they shouldn't have stayed. Only the fact they had been given control of the Grand Formation have them the Causality to stay.

Yan woke back up and sat herself back up, "I don't think we can hold on much longer! Call master!"

As she spoke, another attack occured, Jin used her intuition and blocked it. A nearby river of diversion laws twisted around the enemy, they suddenly felt a jolt and vanished for a moment.

Jin held her head, "I can't do it, my mental energy needs recovering. Send mental laws here while the elite outside is coming back!"

Yan nodded, she had even less mental energy than Jin but she was more experiences with using a formation. She used her expertise and diverted a river, the Grand Formation had many such Law Rivers which they now had to bring to this core spot; in the process, sealing the power they had around the formation.

Her mental energy drained, she fell unconscious. Luckily, her command stayed true and a spot on the Grand Formation moved towards the core. A torrential flow of cognition thought laws.

They were numerous and varied, some basic thought laws but if one paid close attention they would have extra attributes. Anger, pain, revelation, planning, coding, decoding, all sorts of thoughts would be created fork the laws when 'burned'.

Before the elite that had been attacking came back, the river of thoughts rand into the core circle, entering Jin's body. Instantly she absorbed the laws into her Spirit Stone Soul, then unleashed them again in a cyclical motion.

"Laws are the building blocks of the world, each thought inevitably had a law attached. But not all those laws were visible, even Swordsman use laws..."

"The Laws that cultivators use were brought out from the natural world and contained, they can be thought of as false laws."

"But when released the laws become true, they activate and assimilate with the world upon they are released." Zhou Tian explained.

He pointed at the table in front of them, "See Hou, this is a bunch of 'thought' laws. Even right now, we are using them to do anything. You've never sensed them, and even if you did, they wouldn't be so easy to falsify."

Hou hummed, "Even right now...and so there are other laws which are easy to falsify; those are the laws that are normally used."

He crossed his legs, he was curious on the real inner workings of the world. He was still the same person from before, from the very start he wanted to understand.

"So what about aura?" He asked, "Shouldn't it also have laws?"

Zhou Tian nodded, "Of course, supposedly. The aura though is a specific un-falsifable law from the–" he pointed forwards, "The upper world, or whatever you want to call it."

"But why is it un-falsifable? Shouldn't there be a number of aura laws that can be?!" He was raising his voice but his body remained fairly still.

Zhou Tian looked up, "I don't know...I suppose, it could be to do with the Sea of Worlds?"

"Sea of Worlds?" Hou and Hamar asked in unison.

"I don't know too much myself. But supposedly past even the upper world there's an unlimited amount of other unique worlds. *They* come from that space between worlds and seek to make sure we fall in place."

Hou tapped his fingers on his knee, "So why can't the laws be falsified?"

"Well, you recall I said this world is not exactly 'real'? But the one Hamar has is? Each world is unique, I heard some worlds don't have anything similar to a cultivator. People live and die in a hundred years, they become as strong as a mortal and no more."

"It's possible that though the world is false, it has some properties of a real world. It gained its own power...the power to falsify certain laws. Aura is not *from that world*, there is no cause for it to falsify, perhaps with our control of causality it can be possible."

Hou thought deeply about this and his eyes 'closed', at the same time however, Hamar had already forgotten it and was engrossed in the table.

The piece representing Jin and the piece representing Yan had taken a hit. A crack had formed, his fingers gripped tightly on the chair he sat.

'Please live...' he held himself back to try to do something. He can't, not yet. Zhou Tian was powerful enough to trap him and before Yi Sect dies, it was likely he could destroy Hamar with a flick of his finger.

The enemy they were fighting with also had a piece. He didn't know who they were, of course. When all seemed out of luck for Jin and Yan...

Behind the enemy piece, another piece had teleported. Though the fact it was reflected onto the table meant that one of Yi Sect detected that movement; it wasn't enough.

The piece exploded! Soon after Jin and Yan (along with the mysterious figure) became translucent. Zhou Tian noted Hamar's carefully watching and explained, "I don't have any causality in the world watching them. Whatever they do won't be shown here until another member of Yi Sect sees them."
