Alex stared at the woman who had fallen to the ground after he apparently startled her. The young lady looked to be in her late twenties, she was rather good-looking with an innocent face that stared back at Alex's mask; her eyes looked like she was about to cry.
Similarly, other pairs of eyes inside the room also stared at Alex, shocked by his sudden appearance.
'What is this awkwardness?' Alex sighed inwardly.
"Are you alright?" He asked the woman while gently waving his left hand and using his mana to lift her. This move surprised the young lady even more and she was unable to reply to Alex instantly.
"Ah, Mr Chen! You finally came, I've been thinking of how to reach you for some time now."
Before the awkward air could grow thicker, Maria's happy voice pierced the air, causing everyone to look at her and then back at Alex.
"You were looking for me?" Alex turned away from the woman and faced Maria.
