Chapter 128 - Chapter 292: The Battle Gradually Turns One-Sided!

The monster's chant had reached its final stage.

The magical cannon constructed through that extraordinarily long incantation was fully loaded.

In another moment, a torrent of raging flames would likely erase everything before it.

Yet perhaps because all of its Magic had been concentrated into the female body on its upper half, the giant bull beneath suddenly became sluggish.

"Vana Arganture."

Ottar seized the opportunity without hesitation and activated his skill.

Spiderweb cracks spread across the ground as he launched himself into the air, then brought his sword down with all his strength upon the fully charged magical cannon.

When two opponents stood at roughly the same level, with one suddenly slowing down while the other received a comprehensive boost, the result was obvious.

The increase in abilities granted by Ottar's skill was unleashed upon the monster in the most violent way possible.

The female body growing from its upper half was split cleanly in two.

The Magic that had lost its caster immediately ran wild throughout the magic circle beneath the monster.

Then—

BOOM!!!

The earth shook violently.

With nowhere left to go, the enormous torrent of Magic exploded like a giant firework, swallowing both the monster and Ottar within it.

...

"What the hell are you streetwalkers even doing?! Haven't you had enough fun yet?"

On another part of the battlefield, Allen shouted while using his silver spear to knock away an Amazon charging straight at him.

"If you're done, then stand still and die already! Stop trying to touch me with those filthy hands that have been all over who knows how many men!"

His spear swept around again.

"How many times do I have to knock you trash down before you understand the situation?"

"Don't think you can wear me out just because there are a lot of you. Garbage is still garbage no matter how much of it you pile together!"

Allen was in an extremely bad mood.

Among the strongest members of Freya Familia, the monster had gone after Ottar while that disgusting toad had chosen Hedin.

Only Allen had been treated as though he were responsible for cleaning up the leftovers after the main forces were assigned, with a few random underlings thrown his way to keep him busy.

Yet that was not what irritated him most.

What truly ignited Allen's anger was the fact that he had still not managed to finish off these Amazons.

"Every last one of you is slippery as an eel! Is running away the only thing Amazons know how to do?!"

The instant he finished speaking, silver light flashed.

Allen's spear pierced the air and shot toward the Amazon before him at a speed impossible for ordinary eyes to follow.

It was an incredibly simple thrust.

Yet empowered by a Level 6 body, that simple action became a killing blow.

Even Finn, another Level 6 whose primary weapon was a spear, would have praised both the speed of the attack and the precision of its angle.

No matter how one looked at it, there was no way an Amazon barely displaying Level 4 combat strength should have been able to block it.

Yet the opposite happened.

Clang!

A broad silver glaive appeared with impossible precision directly in the path of the spearhead.

The Amazon herself looked just as shocked as Allen.

Her wrist twisted instinctively, and somehow she managed to deflect his supposedly unavoidable strike.

"Tch."

Allen clicked his tongue irritably.

This was far from the first time something like this had happened.

Whether it was the Amazon he had sent flying earlier or the one standing before him now, they always seemed to inexplicably block one or two of his attacks.

And judging from their expressions, they were not doing it intentionally.

In other words, Allen was simply getting unlucky.

Every time he chose an attack path, it happened to overlap with some unconscious movement his opponent was already making.

That infuriating sensation of possessing overwhelming strength yet being unable to apply it properly began reminding Allen of his previous defeat.

Allen would never blame failure on luck.

But losing again and again to something called "fate" felt like the world itself was mocking his incompetence.

For someone who had sworn to become the goddess's chariot, there could hardly be a greater insult.

"Sorry."

The Amazon who had blocked his spear finally recovered from her surprise.

"I don't particularly want to fight you either."

She tightened her grip on her glaive.

"If you want to blame someone, blame our selfish goddess who gave the order. I have an important friend waiting for me to save her too."

"Who gives a damn?!"

Allen immediately accelerated his attacks.

"If you want to play house, crawl back to your own territory and do it there!"

"Staying here only makes you an eyesore!"

The viciousness of his tone nearly made Aisha wonder whether she had somehow touched a nerve.

Allen, however, gave her no chance to explain further.

He kicked off the ground.

Then vanished.

"Whoa! What the hell is this wind?!"

"Is something moving over there?!"

"Allen's actually getting serious? You're finished now! That damn cat doesn't even know what holding back means!"

His unimaginable acceleration whipped up a violent gale.

While the Amazons of Ishtar Familia stared in disbelief that simple running could create such a phenomenon, Allen had already transformed into a shooting star at the center of the storm.

Blood sprayed wherever he passed.

[Orario's Fastest].

That was the evaluation bored gods had given Allen.

And it was no exaggeration.

In pure running speed, Allen genuinely surpassed every adventurer in Orario.

Even Level 7 Ottar could not compete with him in a footrace.

Once someone with that kind of speed became serious, stopped wasting time trading blows with the Amazons before him, and instead made "eliminating the invaders" his sole priority...

Then Allen truly became exactly what the gods had named him.

The [Goddess's Chariot].

A merciless machine of slaughter racing across the battlefield and crushing every enemy in its path.

"This can't keep going! We have to stop him somehow!"

"Stop him?! How are we supposed to catch something that fast?!"

The Amazons who had previously been entangling Allen could now only stare dumbfounded as he tore through their formation again and again.

Ishtar had ordered them to work with Aisha and hold back Freya Familia's Level 7.

She had never told them what to do if their opponent simply refused to fight them.

"Aisha! What do we do now?!"

One Amazon turned toward the woman who was effectively second in command of this operation.

"We can't let him keep running around like this."

Aisha's expression tightened.

"Haruhime's magic is almost out of time."

She was just as troubled by Allen's refusal to engage them directly.

'That goddess has completely lost her mind.'

Just because Ishtar had somehow gotten her hands on a monster capable of rivaling a Level 7 adventurer, she had decided to attack Freya Familia.

And apparently she had never considered that the monster might try to kill them too.

If Freya Familia had not stopped the creature, every Amazon here might already have died along with their enemies.

When obsession reached this level, Aisha could think of only one word for Ishtar.

Madwoman.

But that only meant they could not simply turn around and flee.

Who knew what that goddess would do to them after they returned in defeat?

And then there was Haruhime...

They had to stop the [Goddess's Chariot].

But how?

With retreat already removed from consideration, Aisha stared at the catman racing across the battlefield and fell into deep thought.
