Markus with his brief introspection of his plans walked out of his room, set on furthering his experiment and increasing his workforce of clones.

Now that he could create 13 clones he would be able to achieve more with less time needed.

But as walked out of his room he paused, staring at his reconnaissance clone waiting just outside.

The clone was clad in all black, covering every inch of his skin as they found that black coloured clothes increased the effectiveness of their [Aura Stealth].

Seeing as the clone was infront of him and not out there gathering information, he gave it his attention, not bothering to enter its mind and taking the information out of it.

It would have been efficient but for now that was not what he needed.

" Do you have important information for me?" Markus asked.

The clone nodded quickly before telling him of what it had found.

Immediately after that it dipped back into the shadows, going back to its job.

All the while Markus was digesting the information he just obtained.

It seemed that a lot was happening in Beacon Hills while he was away.

Vampire Covens were stirring up, bodies being found lifeless with no blood in their systems was becoming a norm nowadays.

Hunters were of course cleaning everything up, hiding the supernatural to the best of its ability. He did notice that the Hunters seemed to hold more power in this world than in the series, commanding even police officers when the supernatural was involved.

It wasn't only the Covens though that were making trouble.

Peter Hale was going around killing people, people that he thought deserved it while making a mess of everything.

One thing of note though about him was that he was not alone in this universe.

No, he had a pack following him.

Though his pack left much to be desired, apparently not having had the time to nitpick and choose quality people.

Peter had seemingly bit a various amount of impoverished, probably fuelling their anger at the world to do his dirty work which now that he thought about it was cunning.

His pack numbered at 23.

The number was increasing daily, but the hunters had gotten lucky, killing some of his pack.

And as for his brother? Where was he?

At the centre of all of this.

He had been the one to stirr the vampires, after defeating a vampire and not killing it after Scott found it feeding on a schoolmate.

The vampire had apparently went to its coven and reported of the transgression, in doing so everything went to shit.

Apparently there were treaties put in place with the supernatural creatures.

One of those treaties being that werewolves and vampires were to stay far away from each other and not harm one another.

Scott beating up the vampire broke that treaty, and since he was Peters Beta in a sense, the Covens were now at a shadow war with Peters Pack.

The hunters being the 'protectors' were inadvertently pulled in this, causing a three way altercation while Scott went around fucking everything up.

But even as all this happened, somehow, plotlines from the original series were still happening.

Derick was still shot with the wolfsbane bullet, Jackson got clawed on the neck causing some undesirable effects and other things.

To Markus this seemed like the World trying to keep everything going the direction of the Canon timeline, or as if the Canon timeline was the blueprint and every alternate reality tried to mimic it even with the multiple variables ruining things, like himself.

Markus didn't know how to feel about that.

On one hand, if it were as he thought then he'd atleast be able to predict some things but on the other it meant that his actions didn't matter that much unless he fucked up the plot so much it was impossible for things to act almost like the original timeline.

Thinking about all this made Markus grunt in annoyance.

The more he wasted time on worthless thoughts, the longer he'd be here and not out there wrecking havoc for his gain.

So finally he set out to do what he was set on doing in the first place.

First though he rummaged through the entire base, marvelling at the inside and it's rooms that if one wasn't outside then they would never know they were in a warehouse.

He found dozens of bedrooms, some seemingly in use by some of his clones. He counted the rooms and nodded to himself after finding that even if he summoned more, there would still be enough rooms.

Then he found a huge kitchen, stocked with food as now his reconnaissance clone could store food inside their Fuinjutsu Inventory—he'd have to find a new name for their Fuinjutsu script inventory project.

Then there were multiple other rooms on the second floor, all centred around one crafting skill or another but with a dozen more rooms being labs as that was their focus.

He found his clones working tirelessly, he didn't interrupt them and simply went downstairs on a common room of sorts.

He breathed in, stilling his nerves before activating his ability [Split].

In seconds he watched as his mana coalesced into 7 points, then slowly bone, sinew, muscle and skin grew to his height and finally he was staring at 7 clones of himself.

" You six, go get clothed and join the others." Markus ordered, pointing at six clones, then he focused on the remaining clone.

" You on the other hand, I want you to do something for me." He said, a grin on his face before walking out of the warehouse, his newly born clone on his hills after grabbing some clothes from their Fuinjutsu inventory just as the other clones had.

Finally outside he marvelled as he stared at the sky.

All around their warehouse was a purple dome.

The dome was made out of potent magic, etched on its walls were rune scripts and sigils for protection, stealth and to nurture everything inside.

The dome was a beautiful tapestry of magic that he was proud to have created.

But he wasn't there to marvel at his creation, so quickly he turned to his clone.

" I want you to practice magic, since I made you minutes ago you know what experiments I want you to do." He told the clone.

He had taken this one clone out in order to practice and learn more magic or level up his already learnt magic skills.

He also wanted to obtain new skills with mana or aura without the risk of him fucking up and ruining his mana core.

By using a clone he was bypassing those risks.

" You got it, boss." The clone nodded, walking off to a grassy area behind their warehouse base.

He on the other hand walked back into the warehouse, his mind set on his main project.

' Let's get this done with.'
