Chapter 60 - [Chapter —60]

Markus obtained enough conscious thought that he saw and felt when he was transferred to a metal table, one usually reserved to study the anatomy of supernatural creatures for when they obtained said creatures.

But when he had been transferred to the same table he didn't care why he had been, because he didn't feel the pain.

The all so harrowing pain of feeling his bones betray him, snapping at random moments to only break down into nothing but fine dust before reassembling themselves together was sure to keep him awake for a few days.

So as he laid down on that metal table, watching as the mosaic like colours that infested his eyes slowly turn into clear images, he couldn't help but grumble to himself.

He doesn't know how long he lay there, simply collecting himself together as memories of the cruel experiment he just brought himself into came back to the forefront of his mind.

Immediately after his System had chimed him in, telling him to stay awake was when everything went to shit.

Immediately after that he felt everything as his body melted in a way, only to coalesce back into flesh, bones break and turn to dust only to rearrange and fuse back again, he stayed awake when his body was slowly remade, broken and done in again and again—everytime he was remade, he felt stronger.

But that just meant that it only hurt even more when his skin, flesh, nerves and everything in him broke apart again.

It got to a point where a single minute felt like an hour, each twitch from him feeling as if thousands of ants and needles were slowly stabbing at him.

He wondered as he sat there whether he should have just taken the original design if the Chimera serum.

To just become a chimera of two races than what he just turned himself into, but that would have been stupid.

Why would he want to settle for less when he had discovered something way more?—so that thought was quickly thrown out of his mind.

Now he simply laid there, finally coherent enough to realise that all his clones were around him—some doing checkups, some studying my frame with wonder.

Markus seeing that though grunted, trying to sit up to no avail—his limbs simply twitched before giving up on him.

' Well, that's still progress.' He thought, atleast the pain had left.

He then laid there for an hour more, each minute fuelling him with realisation as the more time passed, the more his senses returned back to him — but unlike what he was normally used to, this time his senses felt like a slowly building up tidal wave.

When everything finally settled, Markus could feel everything around him.

It almost felt like when he fully utilised all his senses.

But that shouldn't have happened, afterall he had pulled back the senses provided by the boost in perception from his [Genius Comprehension] to a point that it became second nature to him, not wavering even if he were to fall unconscious.

Delving into his psyche he paused, the pull to his perception was there.

The problem was that it seemed that his senses had been boosted beyond what they had been, and now he was only holding back the senses to the point where he had been used to—not to the point where they now were.

Grumbling to himself he looked at the corner of his eye, finding the oh so familiar '!' blinking away at him.

Sighing to himself, he sat up— garnering his clones attention as they wordlessly started helping him up the metal table, bringing out some garments for him to wear with no words exchanged.

He was a bit confused at that for a moment but then paused as another clone came in holding a container of food.

That had him even more confused, aside from them seemingly instinctually knowing what he wanted to do and helping him—he was pretty sure that he hadn't said a peep about starving which he was.

And looking at the clones all synchronised and working together as if they knew before hand what the other wanted, or could seemingly be seen as if they could read each other's minds was a bit confusing to him.

But luckily that confusion only lasted a few seconds, after that he simply got suspicious of the reason before deducing quickly that it had something with his bloodline abilities or his bloodline too.

Deciding that now wasn't the time to look through the changes that had happened to his body, he focused instead on the food brought up to him— gouging himself in the above five-star quality food his clones had no doubt cooked up earlier that day.

Minutes later as he laid down the suspiciously clean plate, he then focused on his clones who immediately turned back a bit creepily.

' Yeah, something definitely changed with my cloning ability.' He thought, fighting the urge to immediately open all his status tabs.

" So, what does the data say?" Markus asked, standing up from the cold metal table to stretch—finding that his body seemed more flexible that normal, not that surprising with the serum running through his veins, but something of note nonetheless.

" Well, a lot has happened in the past five hours since the operation started–"

" Five hours?" Markus interrupted, surprised that it had been five hours—he had thought that he spent an hour in the tank and no more before spending a little more time outside getting acclimated with his new senses.

" Yes, five. 3 hours for your body to fully absorb the serum, reconstruct it and assimilate it fully, 1 hour as your life signatures shot through the roof and the more magical side effects started showing up and then 1 hour of you resting." The clone informed him.

Hearing that Markus blinked, the procedure took more time than he estimated.

" When you say 'Magical Side effects' you mean what exactly?" Markus inquired, hoping that ther was nothing truly bad happening inside of his body.

" Well, we didn't really get that much data yet but from what we've observed" The scientist clone muttered, grabbing a tablet on the table and passing it over to him." These are the changes that we've discovered."

" For more data were waiting for you to review your status, to see what we missed and to recalibrate our analysis equipment depending on the information you give." The clone told him, though Markus wasn't paying much attention at that point.

Instead, his eyes were glued on the datapab.

• Increase in muscle density with no seeming increase in weight.

• Bone obtained an increase in density, while also becoming more hollow as the marrow filled up more. Estimations - Will cause increase in blood production.

• Cranium, arms, legs have restructured alongside their increase in strength.

~Cranium – A set of teeth have grown underneath the gums.

~Arms – nails have gained a bone like density, increase in strength and cutting functions to be expected. Arms have also turned double-jointed

~Legs -

• Aura has transformed, turning from the lime green in normally shifted in to a radiant white aura that seems to blind anyone who can 'see' aura.

• Magic Signature have spiked, mana density around the original tripling.

Reading through the list Markus nodded to himself, these were the expected changes except the last one—that one came as a surprise to him.

" These are the only changes we have the means to observe, anything more and you'll need to go through your status tabs." Was all his clone needed to say, quickly walking back to studying the data they obtained through his transformation.

And being a little impatient, Markus decided to immediately open his status—only to be stopped as he first had to read through the pop up logs presented to him.
