Belle cried for a long moment, and Rohan held her through it until she was relaxed again. He gently pulled back to look at her, her red, swollen eyes glistening in the moonlight that streamed through the cracks in the wooden barn walls, falling on her flushed face. Rohan raised his hand and caressed her cheeks, wiping away any lingering traces of tears.
"What's wrong, my heart? Why are you crying? Did I do something you didn't like?" he asked gently. She shook her head.
"You didn't do anything wrong, Rohan..." she whispered quietly. He looked at her with his eyes, silently asking why she was crying. "I just realized… how much I loved you. I love you so much." She rubbed her hand against his strong bicep as she looked into his eyes. Since the moment she had returned, he had shown and told her how much he loved her, but she had been unable to say the words back. Now, she felt the rightness, the feeling of her love for him overflowing.
