Chapter 342 - Chapter 341: The Graduation Exam

Sarutobi Suiga asked Torifu, "Hokage-sama, everything is ready. The examinees are waiting outside. Shall we begin the graduation exam?" Torifu lightly tapped the table with his finger, making a crisp sound. "Let's begin."

Sarutobi Suiga nodded and then gave a look to the homeroom teacher. The homeroom teacher clapped his hands, and the first student pushed the door open and walked in.

"Hello, Hokage-sama, Principal, Teacher, and Naori-sama. I am Uchiha Tsukimi." Suiga looked at Uchiha Tsukimi with a kind smile. "The content of the exam is to skillfully use the Three Body Jutsu, which are the Clone Jutsu, Transformation Jutsu, and Substitution Jutsu. Are you ready?"

Uchiha Tsukimi nodded and then began her exam. Her hand signs were very fast. With a flash of white smoke, she had already transformed into Naori's appearance. After returning to her original form, she successfully performed the Clone Jutsu without any mistakes.

Torifu also nodded when he saw this. This child's talent was very good. He then took out a wooden kunai from under the table and threw it at her. The moment the kunai touched Uchiha Tsukimi, she turned into a log and fell to the ground. Then, she walked out from behind a podium on the side.

"Very good. You performed the Three Body Jutsu very well. The only thing is that the Substitution Jutsu needs a certain level of disguise to deceive the enemy. Using the Substitution Jutsu in an instant like that makes it hard for the opponent to show an opening." Torifu gave a complete evaluation of Uchiha Tsukimi's exam and pointed out her shortcomings. It was a no-brainer that Tsukimi had passed the exam. She was now a qualified genin.

Naori walked up and tied the headband, which symbolized a Konoha ninja, onto her forehead. She then told her to leave the room.

Then, one by one, ninjas came into the exam venue to show what they had learned over the years. Some had extremely high talent and didn't have any flaws or shortcomings. They graduated with excellent grades. Others, however, hadn't learned anything in these past few years and could only choose to repeat the year or graduate as ordinary people.

However, these were a minority. Almost ninety percent of the children graduated successfully. Although some of them weren't perfect, they could make up for it after seriously learning from their jōnin instructor for a while.

The last child to take the exam was Minato. Because of what happened this morning, Minato was now full of motivation and his energy was very high. His performance of the Three Body Jutsu was smooth and flawless, which earned him praise from the principal and the teacher.

"He's truly worthy of being Hokage-sama's disciple. He's only ten years old and he's already mastered the Three Body Jutsu and trained it so proficiently. This is truly remarkable."

When his disciple was praised, Torifu also felt happy inside. However, he still said humbly, "No, no. This is nothing. He still has to work hard."

After Minato's exam, the graduation exam came to an end. Another batch of fresh blood was injected into Konoha's ninja forces.

After chatting with Sarutobi Suiga for a while, Torifu left with Naori. Minato went home by himself.

"Speaking of which, Minato's talent is really good. It seems like you don't really pay much attention to his training, but today he was just perfect."

When Torifu heard this, he felt that something was off. You're praising Minato, but why are you also indirectly scolding me?

"Hey, hey, hey. What do you mean I don't pay attention to him? I've been watching his every step of growth. Knowing that he wouldn't have a bloodline or secret technique and would be at a disadvantage after becoming a ninja, I took the Flying Thunder God and gave it to him to learn. Is that not paying attention to him?"

Naori suddenly felt like she had heard something unbelievable. After she realized what she heard, she immediately widened her eyes.

"What?! You gave him the Flying Thunder God to learn?! Have you forgotten that so many people back then became useless because they learned the Flying Thunder God?!"

"Of course, I haven't forgotten. The Flying Thunder God was sealed because it was too difficult to learn, but it's only difficult to learn because they didn't have the talent for space-time ninjutsu."

Naori continued, "Minato's talent is so good. He might be able to create a secret technique or bloodline in the future. What if letting him learn the Flying Thunder God ruins his future?!"

At this moment, Naori was clearly a little agitated. She didn't understand why Torifu would make Minato take this risk. If a chosen one were to fall into the mud, that kind of blow was not something an ordinary person could handle.

Torifu held Naori's hands. "I let Minato learn the Flying Thunder God because I've already made all the preparations. Minato has a lot of talent in space-time ninjutsu. He'll definitely be able to learn the Flying Thunder God!"

Naori looked at Torifu's determined eyes, and an idea also formed in her mind. If Minato could really master the Flying Thunder God, he would definitely become a Kage in the future. But the price of failure was also very steep.

"Are you really sure that Minato has a talent for space-time?"

"Of course. Minato is my disciple and my little brother. How could I ever harm him?"

When she heard this, Naori also sighed. "Sigh, I hope he can really master the Flying Thunder God."

Torifu pulled Naori into his arms and gently stroked her hair with his left hand. "I know you're worried about Minato, but you have to believe me. He'll make a name for himself in less than two years. He was born for this jutsu."

"I hope what you're saying is true."

The two of them hugged for a while. After Naori's emotions gradually stabilized, Torifu sent her home.

Torifu hadn't been idle this half-day. Just proctoring the exam took him the entire morning. He hadn't even had a single bite to eat yet. It was already noon, and he was too lazy to cook, so he decided to go to his sensei's house for a meal. As he said this, he was already heading toward the Senju Clan compound.

Before long, he arrived at the Senju Clan. The guards at the gate bowed to Torifu. Torifu waved his hand and walked straight into the yard. The Senju Clan compound had almost become Torifu's home. He would come over every now and then to hang out and get some food and drinks.

As soon as he walked into Hashirama's yard, he saw Tobirama sitting at the door with his phone, playing a game with a very serious expression on his face. Torifu didn't disturb him. He just watched the exciting match from behind him.

Three minutes later, Tobirama's face broke into a smile. His opponent's last ninja made a mistake, which allowed him to win this match. Although it wasn't a very honorable victory, all that mattered was that he gained points.

"Oh, Torifu. What are you doing here? Isn't today the graduation exam?"

Torifu nodded. "Yeah. I just finished proctoring the exam. I'm tired and hungry this whole morning, so I thought I'd come to Sensei's place for a meal."
