Chapter 719 - Chapter 718: The Name of a Genius

Minato, having been called over, scratched his head. "Ah, Big Brother, I suddenly had a breakthrough and wanted to find a place to test it out. I was just about to head to the forest behind the mountain." Torifu waved his hand. "Just try it out here at home; no need to go to the back mountain." With that, Torifu waved his hand, and a crystal pillar rose up out of the ground in front of Minato. "Give it a try. You absolutely won't break this pillar."

Minato looked at Torifu, then at the pillar in front of him, and began to try and shape a Rasengan. As a beginner, he still couldn't stably perform the Jutsu, let alone add any variations. He honestly released a shadow clone to help him shape the Rasengan. As his hand speed continuously increased, a light blue Chakra energy sphere slowly took form.

Suddenly, joy spread across the faces of Torifu, Naori, and Minato! They hadn't expected the training to succeed in such a short amount of time. Even though he was happy, Minato didn't stop the Chakra output, keeping the sphere sustained in his palm. Then he fiercely attacked the crystal pillar! With a loud crash, Minato was sent flying back a meter, but the crystal pillar was undamaged; not even a scratch appeared on it.

This result left Minato somewhat bewildered. Wasn't the Rasengan an A-rank Jutsu? How could it not even shatter a crystal pillar that Big Brother casually created! Seeing the two of them looking dazed, Torifu spoke up. "Don't worry about it. I created it by condensing a massive amount of Chakra; it's just for your training." He added, "If you could shatter it with just one blow, why would I bother making it?"

Upon hearing this, Minato realized the truth and relaxed. He began to recall the sensation of the Rasengan forming—the feeling as if countless people were holding up his hands, helping him perform this Jutsu. "Big Brother, I think I can stably perform the Rasengan now. Do I need to practice anything further?"

Torifu temporarily shook his head. "Nothing for now. Next, continue to master Sage Mode and the Rasengan, try to combine the two, and develop more forms of the Rasengan." Minato acknowledged this. Torifu's plans for him had always been practical and relatively easy to accomplish. Minato followed the plan step by step, and his strength grew continuously. This made him very happy; his progress was visible every day, a delightful feeling that went without saying.

"Oh, Big Brother, Sister-in-law, when I came back just now, I heard people on the street discussing Akihara practicing Chakra at three years old. Did someone let it slip?"

"Huh?" Torifu was completely unaware of this. Naori was even more confused. When she returned, everyone was talking about the Land of Rain matter. How did the conversation switch to Akihara so quickly? And how did the villagers know? They had only told a few people. Were there loose lips among those people, too?

"No need to worry. If the villagers know, they know. It's nothing, and it wasn't a secret to begin with; we just didn't want Akihara to receive too much attention." Torifu spread his hands helplessly. "But now, Akihara's name has been completely established. He won't be able to avoid attention." Another genius who extracted Chakra at three years old. In recent years, geniuses had been born one after another. First, Kakashi, and now Akihara—both practiced Chakra at three.

Although the villagers had extremely high expectations for Akihara, believing his future would be extraordinary, they didn't expect him to show his brilliance right now, without even waiting for the future. How many people in the entire Ninja World could extract Chakra at three years old?

Naori didn't feel strongly about Akihara being discussed; she just found it somewhat baffling. The speed at which the villagers switched topics was simply too fast. She wasn't worried about Akihara; this sort of thing would be known sooner or later anyway. A true genius would not have their brilliance concealed by deliberate low-key behavior.

"Go and see what's going on in the street; I'm genuinely curious."

"Alright, alright, whatever you wish." Having said that, Torifu released a wisp of cloud, flew out of the house, and hovered over the central street.

"As expected of Akihara-sama! Practicing Chakra at three years old! If he can achieve new feats, then Akihara-sama will be Konoha's number one genius!" "Kakashi was already a Chunin at five years old. Can Akihara-sama really do it? That sounds a bit too fantastical. Since when was becoming a Chunin so easy?"

"Just a gentle note, isn't Akihara-sama four years old now? Wouldn't that make him slightly weaker than Kakashi?"

"Get lost! How long has it been since the New Year? Akihara-sama's birthday is still months away! How could he be four already!" ... ...

The streets of the entire Konoha village were in chaos, with supporters of Kakashi and supporters of Akihara shouting at each other in the streets. It even required the ANBU to maintain order.

"The title of Konoha's number one genius... tsk tsk, a completely useless designation." Torifu, watching everything from the sky, couldn't help but inwardly scoff. Could anyone be more of a genius than he was? The villagers were probably dizzy with excitement and had forgotten who the true number one genius was. However, Torifu was only fantasizing to himself. If he were to actually compete with two children for the title, no one else would be needed—Naori alone would pierce his spine until it was mush.

Torifu was joking, but the villagers were seriously trying to determine who was the better genius and who was the absolute number one. Seeing the situation escalate, Torifu had no choice but to show himself. Over the central street, Torifu stood with his hands clasped behind his back. "Everyone, the unity of Konoha is the most important thing. The so-called genius is nothing more than a title; do not worship it excessively." He continued, "Also, do not deify two children to a status they do not deserve. I hope today's quarrel is the last one."

Torifu's appearance immediately silenced all the villagers. The few people who had started the argument were now trembling anxiously within the crowd. They hadn't intended to stir up conflict in Konoha; they were simply caught up in the moment and started arguing, never expecting the situation to escalate to the point where even Hokage-sama had to intervene.

Seeing the villagers so frightened, Torifu offered a faint smile. "Normal discussion is fine, but you all must know your limits. Do not incite hostility among the villagers over a mere title."

"Yes!" All the villagers replied in unison, their voices echoing throughout Konoha. Afterwards, Torifu transformed into a wisp of cloud and vanished. Only then did the villagers dare to look up at the sky. They could tell that Hokage-sama was truly displeased. They had indeed gone too far just now, arguing over such a trivial matter.
