When Ji Wei woke up, she found herself lying on a soft bed.
It was clearly broad daylight, yet the lighting in the room was dim. She could barely make out the furnishings—it was still the same bedroom where she had been resting earlier.
Her head was still a little groggy. Ji Wei tried to prop herself up, moved her hands, but realized they were tied up—she couldn't move at all!
Ji Wei struggled a few times, and suddenly felt a scorching gaze fixed on her from the front.
She turned sharply, finally noticing a chair placed by the bedside. A shadow sat upon it, and in the dim light, she could see a cane held firmly in the figure's hand.
Ji Wei's pupils suddenly constricted, and she blurted out in shock, "Yamamoto Yu, it's you!"
"You're awake." The figure in the chair shifted, stood up, and approached her.
"Get away, don't come near me!" Ji Wei yelled, curling back in terror.
