At the Qinglan Awards dinner, Sheng Tang was not the focus.
She won an award, but it was only for Best Supporting Actress, not yet reaching the status of "Best Actress."
The Best Actress award was claimed by an actress approximately the same age as Sheng Tang.
"I didn't expect Wang Chuiyang to win Best Actress at such a young age," Qian Zhe Lin spoke softly with Sheng Tang.
Wang Chuiyang was indeed tonight's Best Actress.
Unlike Sheng Tang, she was born a child star. Her father was an excellent director, her mother an actress, and she grew up in the film industry, the offspring of a family with star power legacy.
At twenty-five, Wang Chuiyang had acted in seven or eight films, some of which were box office hits, though more were artistic films.
The Qinglan Awards have a particular fondness for actors in artistic films.
Last year, Wang Chuiyang's father passed away.
Her father was an older husband to a younger wife. Even so, he was only 65 when he died, not particularly old.
