Sheng Tang laughed.
The legendary Kunlun was the palace of The Queen Mother of the West, served by two Green Birds.
The Green Bird long encamped there, then transformed into a human, becoming the Goddess of Kunlun, protecting the region's mountains and beasts. The serene mountains and waters were all thanks to the Goddess.
Later, when the Goddess passed away, the locals built the Divine Woman Temple for her.
"Not a demon, a deity," Sheng Tang said, "In classical mythology, demons and deities are different."
"Later, the novel said she truly existed, but how could a deity exist?"
"Just an ordinary woman, said to have divine powers, a reincarnation of the Green Bird," Sheng Tang said, "For instance, Miaojiang also has a Goddess, who can protect the local people."
