The electronic responder beeped, and the reply to Bi Xia was no longer the mechanical sound of the responder, but a gruff male voice, "Indeed!"
This voice... it's familiar!
Bi Xia raised an eyebrow, "Oh my, isn't that Director Li? It turns out you're the remote operator!"
Exposed, Director Li rolled his eyes, "So what if you recognized me? Hurry up, everyone else is almost out!"
Bi Xia rolled her eyes too, "Who asked you to pick such a difficult one for me, a two-layer blockade! I know I'm smart, but you guys can't bully me like this. After all, I'm the rookie guest, right?"
"You're just envious and jealous, I'm handsome and smart!"
Listening to Bi Xia's shamelessly narcissistic words, Director Li was so angry he blew his mustache and shut off the responder in a huff, chugging water furiously.
However, Bi Xia, no longer looking provocative like when she talked to Director Li earlier, instead smiled slyly, like a little fox.
