Ran held in her laughter. Look at how artistically Instructor Mu put it—he thought it all out and even told Old Mr. Shen he'd visit him tomorrow. Wasn't that a way of saying she wouldn't be going back to the Shen family with Grandpa tonight?
"Ran," Old Mr. Shen seemed to ignore Mu Xingfeng's words, still extending his hand, calling Ran once more.
Ran quickly pulled her hand away and jogged over to hold the old man's hand, sweetly calling out, "Grandpa."
Those eyes couldn't help but sneak a glance at Mu Xingfeng's expression, and sure enough, he looked upset.
Old Mr. Mu couldn't stand it, nudged Old Mr. Shen's arm, and asked in a low voice, "Isn't that all in the past? Why won't you, old fellow, let it go?"
Old Mr. Shen huffed defiantly, "I just can't stand Xingfeng treating Ran that way. I've forgiven you all, but not him."
With that, he tried to pull Ran away, while Ran blinked innocently, looking sympathetically at Mu Xingfeng.
