He finally turned, staring at each of them with sharp fire in his gaze. "She is the rightful ruler of this nation. If she dies here because I ran away to save myself, then I might as well have never come."
Mirielle frowned. "We will all stand with you then. We did not come here to abandon someone who needs us."
