The next day, Alex and the girls teleported to Cerulean City and made their way to the docks to pick up the yacht they had ordered. They were accompanied by Mira the masseuse, Lina the cook, Celise the base's manager, Talia the doctor, and, of course, Alex's daughter Alvera. Simone remained behind to oversee the base in their absence, not that she had wanted to come anyway, since she was not as familiar with everyone as the other girls who had been with Alex even before the base was built.
Once they made it to the docks, they were presented with the Azure Voyager. It was a luxury yacht that stretched 35 meters across the sparkling waters, its sleek hull painted a gleaming blend of light blue and white that reflected the sun like polished glass.
On the upper deck, a large rectangular pool shimmered beside a circular hot tub, steam rising gently from its jets. Plush lounge chairs and cushioned seating areas surrounded the pool, while panoramic viewing decks offered unobstructed sights of the horizon. A small dock extended from the side of the yacht, perfect for Water type Pokémon to swim alongside or for smaller boats to tie up.
Subtle technological details hinted at its advanced capabilities. A massive counterweight housed deep within the vessel kept it steady against the waves, while a Rotom-shaped console blinked with soft lights on the bridge. Ambient lights along the railings caught the soft shimmer of the water, giving the vessel a serene yet unmistakably luxurious presence.
Alex signed off on the paperwork before they boarded and made themselves comfortable. Once the ship was untied from the dock, Rotom immediately zipped inside, settled in at the controls, and started the engines, steering the yacht east through the river and out into the open sea.
"Wow," Alvera exclaimed as she leaned over the deck, watching the walled city of Cerulean City slide past. "We get to stay here for a month?"
"Alvera!" Vera shouted. "Get down from the railing!"
"But I can't see!"
"Don't make me repeat myself."
"Yes, Mom," she said, sulking as she climbed down, only to move to a nearby table and stand on it instead.
"Alvera!"
Meanwhile, the rest of the girls got comfortable in their own rooms. In total, the yacht housed ten cabins: one master bedroom with an extra-large bed, three VIP cabins with king-sized beds, and six cabins fitted with double-sized beds reserved for guests and crew alike. Each cabin was comparable in size to a spacious hotel room, with layouts that included separate seating areas, desks, ample storage, and private en-suite bathrooms, all distributed vertically throughout the yacht's decks.
The master suite was positioned forward at the top of the vessel, offering sweeping, near-panoramic views of the ocean through wide windows. It featured a spacious en-suite bathroom with a walk-in shower, a dedicated dressing area, and enough room to feel more like a private apartment than a typical cabin. The remaining guest accommodations, from VIP staterooms to double cabins, were slightly smaller but still generous in size, ensuring comfort and privacy for every occupant.
High-end finishes were standard throughout, complemented by large windows, built-in entertainment systems, intercom access, satellite phones, and independent climate control, ensuring that every room felt both luxurious and self-contained despite being part of the same vessel.
As for the room assignments, Mira, Lina, Talia, Celise, and Alvera each had a smaller cabin to themselves, while Alex and the other girls shared the remaining rooms. It didn't really matter who had which cabin, since more often than not the rooms served mainly as storage for their belongings rather than dedicated places to sleep.
"It's like being in a hotel out at sea!" Rhea exclaimed, her eyes lighting up. She rarely left the base, still keeping a low profile from Argent Solutions, so this hotel-like accommodation felt entirely new to her.
"It's adequate," Maris said calmly. She was accustomed to high-end luxury on her business trips, so this level of comfort was nothing remarkable to her.
"I like that it doesn't sway at all," Sable said with approval. With her Ground affinity, she disliked the constant motion beneath her feet. In fact, she generally avoided being out at sea, as the endless expanse beyond the ship's hull left her feeling blind and disoriented.
Meanwhile, Alex released the water team to serve as guards and deterrents against any wild Pokémon, Grim's team to handle aerial reconnaissance and act as a Champion ranked deterrent, and the Cinccino to keep the yacht clean. The rest of the Pokémon would be let out on a rotating schedule for a few hours at a time to eat and stretch, ensuring the ship never became overcrowded.
Suddenly, an excited Alvera, wearing a swimsuit, ran past, squealing with delight, Vera chasing after her.
"Get back here, young lady! You need to put on some sunblock!"
"I've got it," Alex said, scooping the energetic little girl onto his shoulder.
"Kyahaha!" Alvera squealed.
"Thanks," Vera said, tossing Alex the lotion bottle before returning to the cabin to change.
"Having fun?" Alex asked as he carried Alvera to the pool area, setting her down on a lounge chair.
"So much fun! I can't believe we get to stay here for a month. No homework, no studying, just fun!"
"I wouldn't be so sure of that," Alex said, rubbing lotion over her exposed skin. "I'm pretty sure you still have homework."
"Ha! I already finished it all before coming here. Stayed up all night for it."
"How do you still have energy?" Alex asked, bewildered.
"I'm already at Expert rank thanks to Aegislash, so I learned the sleep trick to avoid sleeping all the time."
She was referring to stronger trainers breaking past their natural circadian rhythm to lessen the amount of sleep they needed, the same trick Alex used to stay at peak condition in the Distortion World.
"That's my girl," Alex said proudly as he finished applying the lotion.
"Nyahaha!" she laughed, diving into the pool and swimming around.
Soon, the rest of the girls filed in and joined the pair, wearing swimsuits that matched their hair colors. Some swam with Alvera, while most chose lounge chairs to relax on. Mira began setting up her massage booth, and Lina started cooking on the outdoor grill.
"You girls can relax too, you know," Alex said. "We didn't bring you along just so you could keep working on vacation."
"I love cooking," Lina replied. "It doesn't matter if I'm on vacation. I want to make the best meals no matter where I am."
"I don't mind," Mira said. "I like having my booth up just in case."
Alex shrugged before reaching for the intercom on the deck.
"How's it going, Rotom?" he asked.
"Current weather conditions are optimal. Navigation route calculated and verified. We are scheduled to reach the open sea by 2200 hours, after which we will maintain a southeast heading toward Sevii Island Seven. Based on current deterrent deployment, the route includes known Elite ranked nests and historically high pirate-activity zones to minimize overall travel time. All onboard systems operating within standard parameters; wave and wind conditions remain within safe operational limits."
"Excellent," Alex said with a smile. "You know me so well, Rotom. I'll leave the ship in your hands. Let us know immediately if anything major happens."
"Affirmative."
This might have been a vacation, but Alex knew he would get bored spending a month at sea. Passing through dangerous areas offered the perfect remedy. As for putting his family at risk, he was confident that even Master ranked threats wouldn't be able to hold them long enough to prevent a timely teleport if needed. Besides, the threats were all at most Elite rank.
"Alex!" Nyx called out, laying on her front on a lounge chair, exposing her back and ass. "Can you help me put on some sunscreen?"
Alex smiled and stepped closer, noticing Nyx in her risque swimsuit, a black one-piece that looped around her neck, covered most of her front, and continued under her, ending with a plug in her rear. Apparently, it was her most comfortable swimsuit.
"I thought Vera told you to avoid wearing these kinds of clothes in front of Alvera?" Alex asked as he applied lotion to her back.
"Oh, come on," Nyx said. "We're on vacation, plus we bathe with Alvera naked all the time. There's nothing here she hasn't seen before."
"You know what I mean," Alex said as he massaged the lotion on her bare cheeks, running his fingers between her thighs while his thumb pressed the plug deeper.
"Mmm~," she hummed, closing her eyes.
"Nyx?" Alex called.
"Yeah, yeah… I'll cover up with a sarong until Alvera gets tired and takes a nap."
"Thank you," Alex said, pressing his thumb deeper as a reward.
Nyx let a moan slip from her lips in pleasure before turning over and covering up, as promised.
"Me too!" Lyra said from the side, lying on her stomach on a lounge chair with her top off.
Alex looked past her and noticed the other girls in similar positions with smirks on their lips. Even Celise and Talia joined in, wearing the same expressions.
"All right then," Alex said with a smile as he prepared the sunscreen.
He had a feeling this vacation might not be as boring as he initially thought.
