The hum of a sleek black car pierced through the quiet morning air, its tinted windows glinting beneath the soft Parisian sun. The vehicle rolled to a slow stop a little farther from the sprawling wrought-iron gates of Dante's estate, a fortress of wealth and warning. From a distance, the estate stood like a dark crown at the edge of the city,vits tall glass windows reflecting the dawn light and the calm menace of its owner.
"This is how far we can go, boss. Dante's men are all over this sector," Xavier muttered from the passenger seat, scanning the area through dark shades.
Roger smirked, the corner of his mouth twisting despite the gauze wrapped around his head and the sling supporting his arm. He looked like a man who had survived death and come back thirsting for vengeance. "He sure is rich to own something this enormous in Paris," Roger murmured, his voice hoarse but thick with spite. "I'm glad I'll get to deal with the Montgomerys and Laurents at the same time."
