Chapter 465 - Chapter 471-475

Chapter 471: The True Tang Sect, Part 7

Since childhood, Tang Ya's father had always told her that only a Soul Master with Blue Silver Grass could lead the Tang Sect. This was because their ancestor, the great Tang San, had ascended to godhood using what everyone thought was a "useless" martial spirit. This legacy was the Tang Sect's pride and guiding belief.

But at this moment, Tang Ya's belief was shattered completely.

"Tang San's martial spirit was the Blue Silver Emperor?" she murmured.

To fully bring Tang Ya to his side, Ye Wen decided to reveal more of Tang San's hidden truths, laying it all out to her. He nodded, confirming her question.

"Yes. Surely you know the conditions necessary for a Twin Martial Spirit? The two spirits must be of comparable quality to coexist. If that wasn't the case, every Soul Master on the continent could be born a Twin Martial Spirit genius," Ye Wen explained. "Tang San's Twin Martial Spirits weren't a secret. But think about it: if one of his spirits was the Haotian Hammer, a powerful spirit, do you really believe he could balance it out with an ordinary, 'useless' Blue Silver Grass?"

The truth was so plain, and yet no one neither commoners nor advanced Soul Masters ever seemed to see it. They'd ignored it, blinding themselves to reality.

Tang Ya's gaze grew complicated. After her dark awakening, this kind of information couldn't destabilize her further, but it did reveal things she'd overlooked. She had no doubt that Ye Wen was telling the truth, but his support felt both reassuring and… calculated. She began to wonder why he was so invested in helping her.

"Master… you…" She hesitated, fighting through her ingrained fear of powerful Soul Masters, finally managing to ask, "Why are you doing so much for me? Is there… something you want me to do?"

Ye Wen, who had planned to expose more of Tang San's flaws, was amused by how quickly Tang Ya cut to the chase. After a moment's thought, he let his expression relax into a confident smile.

"Tang Ya, don't you feel the injustice?" he asked.

"Huh?" His abrupt question startled her.

Without waiting for a response, Ye Wen continued. "To be direct, your bloodline has no connection to Tang San's. He didn't leave a single blood descendant on the Douluo Continent. After all, if he could take his family with him into eternal life, why stay here in this chaotic world?"

Tang Ya's heart skipped a beat as she caught the contempt in his voice.

"And do you know why you were stripped of your title as Tang Sect leader?" Ye Wen asked. "Because you and your family are no longer useful to Tang San. Yet he still needs faith from the Douluo Continent. So, he sent someone he could rely on to restore the Tang Sect and spread his influence.

"In the end, Tang Ya, you were just a pawn." He leaned in, his voice soft but chilling. "The 'Tang' in Tang Sect no longer belongs to you it's Tang San's."

The words sank in like poison. Tang Ya felt a surge of rage and helplessness. Her ancestors had dedicated themselves to carrying on the Tang Sect's legacy, striving for its honor. She had poured everything into preserving her family's tradition.

Why? Why had Tang San betrayed them?

He could have intervened when her family needed him most. If he'd cared enough to protect the Tang Sect, she would never have ended up alone, clinging to memories of a legacy that had abandoned her.

"Tang… San!" Tang Ya's voice shook with rage, her long suppressed hatred spilling out at last.

But she also knew the power disparity between them was like an insurmountable chasm. Swallowing her despair, she looked up at Ye Wen, her eyes filled with desperation and resolve.

"Master! Please help me!" she pleaded.

Seeing that his goal had been achieved, Ye Wen nodded approvingly. "Are you sure you want to walk this path against Tang San?"

"Yes!" Tang Ya's expression was resolute as she stood, determined. "The Tang Sect never betrayed Tang San, but he betrayed us. I will reclaim the Tang Sect's honor and ensure that the 'Tang' in the Tang Sect belongs to my family, not his!"

Ye Wen, though pleased with her resolve, added softly, "But that alone won't be enough, Tang Ya."

"What…?" she stammered, unsure why he would say this.

"You must grow stronger, Tang Ya. You're capable of ascending to godhood. I want to see you climb higher and higher, until you pull Tang San down from his pedestal and make him answer for the contempt he's shown to all those on the Douluo Continent."

His words landed with such force that Tang Ya felt a renewed drive ignite within her. She realized that merely reclaiming the Tang Sect wouldn't be enough. Even a Titled Douluo could fall, and once she was gone, Tang San would simply reassert his influence. If she wanted to break his hold over the continent, she needed to surpass him completely.

Power. She would grow stronger strong enough to never be used again!

Looking at Tang Ya, who was now filled with exactly the kind of ambition he wanted, Ye Wen gave her an encouraging smile.

How absurd, Tang San, he thought. Let's see how you handle a new generation that's completely beyond your control.

The following days were transformative for Tang Ya. Surrounded by the others, she felt a warmth she hadn't experienced in years, a peace that felt like the family she'd once had. But during this time, she also learned from Ye Wen that all of the Tang Sect's core techniques were only partial versions. This revelation enraged her, and when Ye Wen introduced her to the Six Styles, Tang Ya felt her heart surge with vindictive satisfaction.

"Why did you bother, Tang San?" she fumed inwardly. "All those years we served you, and you couldn't even share your true techniques? What a disgrace for a 'god'!"

Chapter 472: The Sect of the Body, Part 1

In addition to giving Tang Ya a new cultivation method, Ye Wen carefully analyzed the strengths and weaknesses of the Tang Sect for her. In truth, even Ye Wen was baffled by Tang San's original choices.

Did Tang San ever truly understand what kind of organization the Tang Sect was? It was an assassin's sect that started from a dark foundation, and yet it aimed to protect the world in the style of noble sects. Selling hidden weapons was one thing, but to pretend to be a defender of justice was delusional.

Moreover, the Tang Sect's techniques were incomplete from the start, further complicating their legacy. However, the most fundamental problem on Douluo Continent was martial spirits. Appointing a Blue Silver Grass Soul Master a spirit doomed never to reach the heights of Titled Douluo as sect leader was absurd. This alone could explain the Tang Sect's inevitable decline. In fact, the fact that it had managed to survive ten thousand years was remarkable in itself.

Yet, Tang Ya's family line wasn't entirely without value. Over thousands of years, the Tang Sect had amassed enough rare resources to improve their clan's Blue Silver Grass, unlocking the potential for a royal lineage. However, this potential had never been fully realized, and the main culprit was still Tang San. His method of developing the Blue Silver Grass soul rings had ultimately stifled his spirit's potential.

Tang San's Blue Silver Emperor lineage remained restrained, likely to preserve the illusion of an "ordinary Blue Silver Grass" wielded by a "prodigy." Rather than admitting his spirit's true nature, he had allowed Tang Ya's family to continue their flawed practices. The result was a weakened clan that had only served Tang San's image and reputation, ending in ruin with Tang Ya's generation.

Hearing Ye Wen's insights, Tang Ya's face turned red with rage, her eyes brimming with frustration. The more she learned, the more she felt that her Tang Sect had been nothing more than a pawn for a selfish, self aggrandizing ancestor.

"Tang San, you are on a path to ruin. I swear that I will live to see you fall!" she spat.

Ye Wen smiled approvingly. It was, indeed, a good day to cultivate another adversary for Tang San.

Although Tang Ya hadn't inherited the complete Tang Sect skills, she possessed considerable talent. Just as Ye Wen had discouraged Huo Yu'er from wasting time on outdated soul tools, he also had no intention of letting Tang Ya dwell on ancient, obsolete hidden weapons. After all, the true strength of the Tang Sect lay not in the weapons themselves, but in the techniques.

Items like the Buddha's Fury Tang Lotus and the Peacock Plume might be able to trouble a rank 95 Super Douluo at best, but they were little more than firecrackers to an Ultimate Douluo.

"So, Master, what will you teach me?" Tang Ya asked eagerly as she skipped alongside Ye Wen, moving swiftly along the road. While she could never go back to being the innocent girl she once was, Tang Ya had regained a youthful vigor that was now tempered with maturity and resilience.

Ye Wen pondered for a moment. In his own realm, the Douluo Continent's power system had evolved drastically over millennia. In his mind, he envisioned a future where Huo Yu'er would be the continent's guiding force, a beacon of hope and redemption. But where there was light, there must also be shadow, and human nature required balance.

"Little Ya…" he began, but Tang Ya quickly interrupted.

"Please, just call me 'Xiao Ya,' Master! When you say 'Tang Ya' all formal like that, it feels distant," she teased with a smile.

Ye Wen's gaze softened. She was just a girl, swept into the tragic cycle of her time. He had a sincere affection for his disciple, knowing she bore no guilt for her past or for her misguided ancestors' choices.

"All right, Xiao Ya," he replied, ruffling her hair lightly. "The real face of the Tang Sect isn't what you were taught. So… I ask you now, Xiao Ya: Will you bear the darkness that follows in Yu'er's light?"

The group slowed their pace as they pondered his words, falling silent. Only Little Snow Girl remained carefree, perched on Ye Wen's shoulders, kicking her legs and humming a song that had no particular tune.

"Can I still restore the Tang Sect's name?" Tang Ya finally asked.

"Yes," Ye Wen confirmed with a nod. "In time, people will hear the Tang Sect's name and know fear."

Tang Ya's face broke into a wry smile. Once, the Tang Sect and Shrek Academy had been pillars of justice on the continent. Yet now, Tang Ya understood what such ideals had cost. If "justice" meant the death of her family and her own isolation, then that so called "justice" could be discarded. She had no need for it.

What no power on the continent knew, however, was that because of their indifference, they had forever lost the idealistic Tang Sect. In the distant future, a terrifying force known as the "Tang Shadow Guard" would rule over justice in its own way a justice rooted in divine retribution.

After a long journey, the group finally reached their destination. Before them rose an endless range of verdant mountains, shrouded in mist. The place was peaceful, serene, and majestic a scene out of legend.

To establish an academy, especially within the borders of the Heavenly Soul Empire, Ye Wen knew he couldn't rely on anyone's goodwill. "Two tigers cannot share one mountain," as the saying went. His target was clear: the Heavenly Soul Empire's guardian sect, the Body Sect.

Ye Wen had little interest in the current state of the Sky Academy, but he knew that the Body Sect had the strength to rival the Haotian Sect at its peak. While it lacked a rank 99 Ultimate Douluo, it boasted Du Busi, the current leader, a formidable fighter capable of taking a rank 99 Douluo down with him if needed. The sect was backed by no fewer than ten Titled Douluo.

Any organization with eleven Titled Douluo even if Titled Douluo today lacked the prestige they once held was a formidable power.

"You all, stay back," Ye Wen instructed, turning to Huo Yu'er and the others. They had long been aware of his plan, and obediently stepped aside.

The upcoming battle was not something they could withstand; even the mere aftershocks could reduce them to ashes. To ensure their safety, Ye Wen added a protective barrier around them. Keeping his true strength concealed, he suppressed his aura to the level of a rank 99 Douluo, just at the peak of what mortals on the Douluo Continent could achieve.

Taking a deep breath to settle himself, Ye Wen unleashed a massive surge of soul power toward the distant peaks.

It was a blatant challenge!

As a sect famed for its volatile temper and fierce loyalty, the Body Sect could never stand for such an affront.

"Who dares provoke the Body Sect!?" Within seconds, a powerful counterforce surged from within the mountain, clashing against Ye Wen's power.

Instantly, the sky darkened, and the earth trembled.

Chapter 473: The Sect of the Body, Part 2

In this universe, gods exist like powerful parasites. When they set their sights on a life bearing planet, its fate is sealed. In ancient times, reaching rank 90 as a Titled Douluo granted an extended lifespan of 300 years, with each further rank adding another hundred. A rank 99 Ultimate Douluo could, in theory, live up to 1,200 years.

But those days had long since passed, and the Douluo Continent had changed irrevocably, drained of its strength by the Douluo Divine Realm. The planet, once rich in life and power, had weakened beyond recognition.

Ye Wen calmly regarded the elder standing before him a man with a face as rough as an ancient tree root, his hair streaked with gray, and a faint stench of poison radiating from his body. This was the current leader of the Body Sect, Poison Douluo, the so called "Human Bomb," known as Du Busi and the Guardian Douluo of the Heavenly Soul Empire.

Ye Wen couldn't help but smirk. Du Busi's taste was, to put it mildly, unconventional. Dressed entirely in green, he wore his arrogance like a flag, complete with a green hat as if to signify his defiance to all challengers.

Neither man spoke; instead, they allowed their formidable soul power to clash, creating waves of pressure that tore through the atmosphere like thunder. Yet as time passed, Du Busi's face grew darker. Ye Wen was indeed exerting pressure, but not at his full strength. Du Busi's attempt to overtake Ye Wen through sheer force was revealing a bitter truth. With no other Ultimate Douluo to compete with, Du Busi had developed an exaggerated sense of his own strength.

But unlike some, Du Busi was no coward. Just like his elder brother, Poison Must Die, he had never backed down from an enemy, regardless of how strong they might be. Once he started a battle, it was to the death.

"Don't underestimate me!" Du Busi roared, his body radiating an intense golden light as an ethereal form appeared above him an exact golden replica of his own figure.

Ye Wen observed this with interest. This was the pinnacle of a Body Sect martial soul's second awakening: the Golden Awakening. In this state, all of Du Busi's physical capabilities were tripled. Such a boost would put even the Nine Treasure Glazed Tile Pagoda to shame. If not for the vast gap between ranks 98 and 99, and for Mu En's half divine powers, the Body Sect might have ruled the continent instead of Shrek.

Seeing Du Busi unleash his full strength, Ye Wen simply retracted his own aura, causing the veteran Douluo to hesitate, unsure of what his opponent intended. But he was already committed, his blood boiling with rage.

"Come at me with everything you have," Ye Wen declared. "Let me see just how strong the Body Sect of this era really is."

Such casual words sounded like a taunt to Du Busi.

"You insolent fool!" he bellowed, his nine soul rings igniting simultaneously:

Yellow Yellow Purple Black Black Black Red Red Red!

A horrifying wave of poison filled energy erupted around him, forming a toxic green mist. Du Busi's unique martial soul was as potent as it was hazardous; unlike other poison masters, he suffered no backlash from his abilities. Combined with the innate physical resilience granted by his body type martial soul and his Golden Awakening, he became an unstoppable force.

Yet, even fully empowered, Du Busi faced Ye Wen.

Fully enveloped in his toxic power, Du Busi grinned menacingly.

"Now die, you wretch!" he yelled. "Ninth Soul Skill! Netherworld's Green Starfall!"

Transforming into a green comet, Du Busi launched himself toward Ye Wen like a falling star. Yet, Ye Wen remained calm, not moving an inch. A skill at the level of a 100,000 year ninth soul ring might be formidable, but Ye Wen was operating at the level of a rank 99 Quasi God a being theoretically three times stronger than a half divine being like Mu En.

Meanwhile, Huo Yu'er and the others watched from the safety of the protective barrier Ye Wen had set up around them. Though they were shielded from the brunt of Du Busi's attack, the overwhelming sight of the poisonous green mist was enough to make even the bravest among them tremble.

Ye Wen spoke calmly, "Fifth Soul Skill: Barrier of the Void."

To make the duel convincing, he revealed his soul ring configuration: Yellow, Purple, Purple, Purple a configuration that, while superior to most, did not initially suggest a supreme strength. But when his final three rings were revealed, all in a terrifying shade of crimson, the truth became clear. This was no ordinary opponent.

Each of his final soul rings was marked by a different aura.

"His seventh soul ring is 200,000 years… the eighth, 600,000… and the ninth is also 600,000? How on earth did he hunt such beasts?" Du Busi was horrified. The legendary beasts that guarded their territory with unmatched ferocity were said to be untouchable. Yet here was a man bearing soul rings that defied the laws of their world.

A human with such power had no reason to resort to deception, for his abilities spoke for themselves. Thoroughly shaken, Du Busi recognized the gravity of his opponent's strength. As his soul skill's energy dissipated, Du Busi stood back, stunned.

Chapter 474: The Body Sect, Part 3

Though Du Busi appeared reckless and rough, he was, in truth, both meticulous and calculating. Now, having determined that the man before him was an Ultimate Douluo, Du Busi found himself questioning his motives. A powerful figure like this should be well known across the Douluo Continent, and the Body Sect, despite its tough reputation, had never sought conflict for conflict's sake. Moreover, a person with such strength wouldn't need to storm into their territory if he bore a grudge he'd simply crush them on the spot. Du Busi surmised that the visitor had come with a purpose.

"Your strength is impressive, and I respect that," Du Busi began cautiously. "May I ask what business brings you to the Body Sect?"

Ye Wen, quietly studying Du Busi for a few moments, finally chuckled. "It's said the Body Sect is full of stubborn hotheads. Perhaps that's not entirely true."

"You're not wrong. We are set in our ways," Du Busi replied, his expression unchanging. "The Body Sect has always been a small group of unique souls. We had to stick together, or we would have been devoured in the early days. But tell me what do you want from us?"

Ye Wen gave a subtle nod of approval and finally laid his intentions bare. "Your Body Sect's martial soul may be an outlier on this continent, but even your weakest soul masters are still far stronger than many ordinary ones."

He continued, "So, I've come to recruit you for a new purpose to help create an era in which the Body Sect is no longer overlooked."

Body type martial souls were indeed the most compatible with soul masters, and in the current era of advanced soul tools, they held unprecedented potential. A Body Sect soul master, whose martial soul inherently augmented their physical body, could make superb use of these tools. Moreover, the Body Sect enjoyed an advantage no other could boast: in their ultimate state, Body Sect soul masters could undergo a second awakening, which offered a 30% increase in all attributes, even at the lowest Iron level.

Though Ye Wen's offer seemed enticing, Du Busi showed no sign of joy. His gaze narrowed as he asked, "Are you a Body Sect soul master?"

Ye Wen anticipated this question and shook his head calmly.

As expected, Du Busi's expression grew grim. "In that case, you'd best forget it. We'd rather die in these mountains than become pawns of soul masters with other martial souls."

Ye Wen's expression remained impassive. He knew the Body Sect wasn't tied to the Heavenly Soul Empire through subordination, but through an equal alliance. The Body Sect wasn't known for selling themselves to outsiders. However, rather than feel irritated, Ye Wen found himself admiring their unity. The Body Sect was tightly bonded more so, perhaps, than Shrek Academy. But for his plans, Ye Wen wanted more than submission; he wanted loyalty.

After nodding thoughtfully, he said, "Perhaps you've misunderstood something. When I say I want to usher in an era for the Body Sect, I don't necessarily mean that I need you specifically. It's simply that, at this moment, you're the most suitable."

He paused, letting his words sink in, before continuing. "Your strength is notable, but it's not enough. I'd like the ten hiding in the shadows to step forward as well."

Startled, the ten Titled Douluo who had been lurking nearby emerged, standing in silent recognition of their visitor's power. These Body Sect Douluo were far from honorable; they'd mastered ambush tactics, and subterfuge was second nature. Ye Wen focused on one of them: the Body Sect's vice sect master, known as Gold Body Douluo.

"Well then, what is your true intention?" Du Busi asked.

Ye Wen didn't answer directly. Instead, he said, "Do you know the true difference between the Body Sect and the world's most famous sect, the Haotian Sect?"

The gathered Douluo frowned slightly. No one liked to be reminded of their rank below the legendary Clear Sky Sect. Despite the Body Sect's role as the Heavenly Soul Empire's guardian, they couldn't match the power and legacy of the Clear Sky Sect, which remained the continent's strongest. Its signature weapon, the Clear Sky Hammer, was still regarded as the mightiest tool martial soul, thanks to the Clear Sky Sect's ancient, formidable techniques.

Ye Wen's words were both cutting and calm, causing the Body Sect Douluo to fall silent, their expressions mixed with longing and resentment.

Instead of elaborating, Ye Wen raised his hand, summoning an image formed of pure soul power.

The image depicted a woman with a high ponytail, an average face, but an undeniable charisma that exuded strength and grace. The Body Sect Douluo felt an inexplicable sense of reverence as they gazed upon her.

"This is a projection of my first disciple, Huo Rui," Ye Wen explained.

Back within the protective barrier, Huo Yu'er blinked in surprise. "She… has the same last name as me?"

Without waiting, Ye Wen continued, "Her martial soul is her heart, and her title is Diamond Douluo."

At this, Ye Wen himself chuckled. His own title was Tianxing Douluo, and Huo Rui, his disciple, had wanted to emulate her master by calling herself Heavenly Heart Douluo. But Ye Wen already had a daughter named Tianxin, so Huo Rui had settled for "Diamond Douluo," drawing on the resilient power of her Diamond Heart.

Though the term "diamond" held a sacred connotation in Buddhist teachings, on the Douluo Continent it didn't mean much to most people. Huo Rui didn't mind. To her, power was all that mattered. Those foolish enough to laugh at her title learned quickly to fear her.

Ye Wen looked upon the Body Sect Douluo, waiting for their reaction. As expected, their eyes were fixed upon him with renewed interest.

Chapter 475: The Body Sect, Part 4

As the saying goes, "The experienced see the truth, while the inexperienced watch the spectacle." Du Busi was the first to notice the unusual nature of what he faced. Ever since his brother Du Bushi had perished, Du Busi had harbored a deep seated hatred for Dragon God Douluo Mu En. However, this hatred was mingled with an equal measure of fear. That same fear had surfaced years later, prompting him to retreat the moment Mu En appeared to defend Shrek Academy.

"This presence… could it be… Intent?"

Among truly elite Titled Douluo, the most renowned were those who could create their own self developed techniques, with some techniques rising above mere skill to reach the mysterious level of Intent. Dragon God Douluo Mu En's 'Supreme Reign' was one such skill, a technique reaching this mystic realm.

Ye Wen continued, "Next, my disciple's projection will serve as your opponent. Use all your strength, or else I may have to reevaluate whether the Body Sect is worth adding to my ranks."

The art of commanding others lies in balancing authority with diplomacy, but one should never allow others to believe they are indispensable, as that only invites resistance and false loyalty. Du Busi, however, had been clear from the beginning about where he stood.

"I've said it before," Du Busi replied coldly. "The Body Sect won't be anyone's lackey."

Ye Wen sighed quietly. He had a certain appreciation for people who were stubborn and principled, but convincing them could be quite the headache.

Ye Wen's expression turned frosty in an instant, and an immense wave of pressure crashed down upon the Body Sect Titled Douluo present. Du Busi's confident posture faltered, and he stumbled, forced to one knee under the weight of the aura.

"This pressure… it's stronger than that old Mu En! Who is this guy?"

In this era, a 99th level Douluo was seen as invincible, but what many did not realize was that in ancient times, "Ultimate Douluo" signified something greater than a mere 99th level. There were realms beyond it: Half God and Demi God. Political control over information kept such knowledge under wraps. Shrek Academy might portray itself as a guardian of justice, but its actions often reeked of self interest.

"This is not a request," Ye Wen said, his tone icy. "I'm informing you. You of all people should understand that the strong devour the weak by nature's design. I hope you won't go against it. Otherwise, I don't mind putting in the effort to establish a new faction of Body Soul Masters."

The frigid tone and barely veiled threat made the Body Sect Douluo go rigid, their hair standing on end. Just moments ago, Ye Wen's polite manner had led them to think he might be a mild mannered, soft hearted figure someone who preferred talk over action.

After a long pause, Du Busi took a deep breath, finally forcing out a single word. "Fine."

Each letter seemed as heavy as a mountain.

"Everyone, use your full strength! Show him the pride of the Body Sect!" Du Busi roared, prompting the other Douluo to exchange glances before quickly forming a unified stance. Waves of intense soul power filled the air, swirling debris around them as if an apocalypse had arrived.

Martial spirits began to appear one by one: torso, lungs, legs, arms, brain, spine all the unique manifestations of the Body Sect were on display. Soon, each Titled Douluo triggered their secondary awakening, surrounding them in silver light, with two figures shining brighter than the rest. Du Busi and Golden Body Douluo Jin Peng had achieved golden level awakening, a mark of their enhanced power.

Though most of the Body Sect's Titled Douluo had not reached the Super Douluo rank, their second awakening gave them strength comparable to a 95th level Super Douluo. This fighting force would be ranked among the top five on the current continent.

At this moment, Huo Rui's projection moved.

Thump… Thump… Thump…

The deep sound of a heartbeat echoed, resonating through the air. The Body Sect Douluo felt an oppressive weight settle upon them, as if the figure before them were no mere projection but a monstrous ancient beast a relic of a distant past that could tear the very heavens.

Du Busi's expression shifted, a thought occurring to him before the battle began.

"You… your own level is that of an Ultimate Douluo. Wouldn't that make this projection an Ultimate Douluo too? If that's the case, why not just crush us and be done with it? We won't surrender the Body Sect so easily."

What seemed like defiant words were, in truth, an attempt to press Ye Wen into a compromise.

Though Ye Wen could force the situation, he chose not to. "You're overthinking it," he said with a small smile. "Though my disciple herself is an Ultimate Douluo, I've set her projection's level to 95, so there will be no overwhelming advantage in soul power."

The subtle taunt hidden in Ye Wen's words made the Body Sect Douluo flush red with fury. Realizing he may have pushed too far, Ye Wen offered a softer follow up. "Make no mistake; my words were not meant to insult you. Simply put, you don't have the strength to be insulted by me. Fight with everything you have. I'll show you the true power of a Body Martial Soul."

Huo Rui's soul rings appeared: Yellow, Yellow, Purple, Black, Black, Black, Red, Red, Red.

Though not as impressive as Du Busi's ring sequence, no one doubted the power of her projection.

"Go!" Du Busi shouted. He understood now that the Body Sect could not escape Ye Wen's control. The man was simply too powerful. However, his keen intuition reassured him that this projection was indeed at a 95th level and no stronger.

Still, Du Busi knew that the ultimate state of a Body Martial Soul was achieved only when enhanced by a secondary awakening. If the martial soul was the heart, it could very likely reach the same golden level of awakening that he himself could. His instincts screamed at him there was something profoundly dangerous about the projection.

The Body Sect could lose to an Ultimate Douluo, but to a mere Titled Douluo? Their honor demanded otherwise.

It didn't matter if the strategy seemed underhanded; the Body Sect's pride would tolerate no less.
