Chapter 476 - Chapter 476: The Mighty White Jade City, Infiltrating the Outer World Demons’ Territory

Chapter 476: The Mighty White Jade City, Infiltrating the Outer World Demons' Territory

White Jade City, Beihai Continent Headquarters

On this day, the high ranking members of White Jade City gathered together. They had received grave news: Xiao Tiance, the master of White Jade City, had once again ventured into the territory of the Outer World Demons. This time, however, his destination was none other than the heart of their domain Liyuan Continent on a dangerous rescue mission.

Worry clouded everyone's faces, including Medusa, now a Saint tier Sovereign at the late stage and the recognized matriarch of White Jade City.

Over the years, as the battles with the Outer World Demons intensified, they had learned more about the true nature of their enemy. It was abundantly clear that entering Liyuan Continent for a rescue mission was near impossible.

Among the gathered were Xiao Xuan and many high ranking members of White Jade City, all wishing to accompany Xiao Tiance. But they couldn't. Their duty was to defend Zhuxian City, the northern front of the Great Thousand World, and ensure the safety of White Jade City.

"Alright, everyone," Medusa said with composed authority from the main seat. "We must all attend to our respective duties. Since my husband has made this decision, we must trust in his reasoning. What we must do is safeguard White Jade City until his return."

"Understood, Lady Medusa," the crowd responded in unison before dispersing to their tasks.

The Strength of White Jade City

The strength of White Jade City had grown tremendously over the years.

Saint tier Sovereigns:

Late Stage: Xiao Tiance (peak), Xiao Huai'en

Mid Stage: Xiao Xuan, Huang Min, Jiuyuan

Early Stage: Huang Lingyun, Xiao Qing, Tianluo

Immortal tier Sovereigns:

Late Stage: Medusa, Zi Yan, Moye, Long Zun Zhe

Mid Stage: Huang You, Di Yipiaoxue, Muling

Early Stage: Tong Sihai, and two Grand Elders of the Xiao Clan

Spritual tier Sovereigns: White Jade City boasted three from the Xiao Clan and the remaining twelve tower lords, all at least at the early stage.

In addition to this formidable roster, the city also had the Heavenly Demon Puppets crafted by Xiao Tiance, solidifying its standing as a powerhouse on par with the Great Thousand World's top tier forces.

Despite their strength, White Jade City adhered to strict principles, treating others with fairness and respect. This moral compass allowed its reputation to flourish, earning recognition as a leading superpower.

Medusa and Xiao Xuan's Conversation

After the meeting concluded, Xiao Xuan lingered behind, looking at Medusa with a heavy heart.

"Sister in law, I want to go help Tiance."

Medusa sighed, understanding his sentiment, but shook her head. "Brother Xuan, my husband explicitly instructed that White Jade City must be watched over by you and Huai'en. He wouldn't leave if he didn't trust you both to hold the fort.

Moreover, he has sent word back, saying that even if the rescue mission fails, he is confident in returning safely."

Xiao Xuan sighed deeply but ultimately nodded. "Alright, I'll focus on other matters for now. If there's any news from Tiance, make sure to inform me immediately.

Also, keep an eye on Yingying. She's very close to her father, and if she learns he's gone to Liyuan Continent alone, she might try to follow him. Make sure she stays safe."

"Don't worry, Brother Xuan. I'll keep an eye on her."

With that, Xiao Xuan left to make preparations. Not only did he manage White Jade City's affairs, but he also sent messages to Xiao Yan and Lin Dong, hoping they could assist Xiao Tiance if necessary.

The Saint Abyss Battlefield

Back on the Saint Abyss battlefield, Lu Tong and Wan Feng watched Xiao Tiance and Qin Tian vanish into the distance.

"Let's hope they return safely," Wan Feng murmured.

The two exchanged a glance, silently praying for the success of the mission. But the battlefield offered no reprieve, as they soon returned to leading the armies against the relentless assaults of the Outer World Demons.

Disguised in the Outer World

Disguised as two Outer World Demons with a Nine grade Sovereign cultivation level, Xiao Tiance and Qin Tian infiltrated enemy territory. Their strength was neither too high to draw attention nor too low to be underestimated perfect for blending in as mid level leaders.

The deeper they went, the grimmer their expressions became.

They passed countless humans, some being used as livestock, others as blood sacrifices for rituals. The inhumanity burned in their hearts, but they refrained from acting. Their mission came first.

In just half a month, the two traversed a significant portion of the Outer World, approaching the Liyuan Continent.

The Tavern Encounter

Near the outskirts of Liyuan Continent, the pair stopped at a tavern in a smaller realm controlled by the demons.

Despite the stark cultural differences, the Outer World Demons had learned much from humans over the years, including habits like running taverns. This was partly due to the merchants who crossed into their territory, trading rare goods like liquor and war spoils in exchange for precious metals, minerals, and human artifacts.

These merchants, although tolerated by both sides, operated under strict unspoken rules. Neither side would openly acknowledge their dealings, and betrayal was punishable by death.

At the same time, the demons had a dark appetite: many of their goods included human women, valued both for pleasure and sustenance.

As Xiao Tiance and Qin Tian quietly observed their surroundings, a convoy of spirit beast drawn wagons arrived outside the tavern. The cargo was horrifying cages filled with women bound and dehumanized.

Xiao Tiance's eyes darkened, his knuckles tightening.

But Qin Tian's voice in his mind warned him, "Tiance, don't act rashly. Stick to the mission."

Suppressing his fury, Xiao Tiance nodded subtly. They couldn't afford to blow their cover. For now, they waited, their eyes locked on the approaching wagons, ready to seize any opportunity that might arise.

The women, their faces blank and devoid of emotion, seemed resigned to their fate. They didn't struggle, didn't cry out they moved like soulless shells, their spirits crushed long ago.

At the front of the spirit beast carts stood a middle aged, obese man wearing a silver badge, a wide grin plastered on his face. His fine clothing indicated that he was faring quite well in the territory of the Outer World Demons.

Men like him humans who willingly betrayed their own were even more loathsome than the demons. Falling into their hands often meant a fate worse than being captured by the Outer World Demons themselves.

"Focus on your food."

Qin Tian, noticing the rising fury in Xiao Tiance's eyes, gently shook his head and spoke in a low tone.

Hearing this, Xiao Tiance sighed, withdrew his gaze, and drank down the expensive wine in front of him in a single gulp.

Over the past half month, they had seen countless suffering humans. Some were captives from battles in the Great Thousand World defiant and unyielding to the last breath. But most were descendants of those who had lived under the rule of the Outer World Demons for generations.

The former group would rather die than submit, cursing their captors with venomous resolve. The latter, however, had long since accepted their plight. The lucky ones learned to survive through servitude, while the unlucky ones toiled as slaves until their last breath.

Scenes like these tore at Xiao Tiance's heart, reminding him of the dark days of history. He thought of the brutal occupation of his homeland, where the cold number of 35 million casualties represented an unimaginable scale of human suffering.

Here, in the land of the Outer World Demons, such numbers had multiplied over millions of years. The atrocities were endless, the suffering unceasing.

"One day," Xiao Tiance said to Qin Tian through a mental transmission, "I will erase these beasts from existence."

Qin Tian fell silent for a moment, then nodded slightly. "I wish for the same, Tiance. Let's hope we can achieve it in our generation and spare future lives from endless suffering."

Yet deep in his heart, Qin Tian harbored doubts. During his tenure as the leader of the Great Thousand Palace, the Great Thousand World had always been on the defensive, perpetually outmatched. Even with the rise of White Jade City and other superpowers, the balance had merely stabilized.

But the Outer World Demons' numbers replenished quickly. No matter how many fell on the battlefield, replacements emerged within two decades. It was a battle with no end in sight.

A Sudden Incident

BANG!

A humanoid creature with flaming black hair slammed its palm onto a table nearby, snarling at the young woman serving him.

"You wretched scum! Can't even serve food properly! What use are you?"

With a wave of his hand, the creature sent the woman flying. She spat out a mouthful of blood as her frail body hurtled toward the corner where Xiao Tiance and Qin Tian sat.

BANG!

Xiao Tiance instinctively moved to catch her, but before he could, her head suddenly exploded. Blood and brain matter splattered across the room, shocking everyone.

Her lifeless body crumpled to the ground at Xiao Tiance's feet.

"Haha! That's what happens when you fail to serve me properly!" the flaming haired humanoid laughed, completely unfazed by the horrific scene he had caused.

What was even more shocking was the utter indifference of those around him. None of the other patrons, whether human or demon, reacted with surprise or outrage.

The humans didn't protest or speak out; they simply looked away in silence, their spirits too broken to care.

This apathy, this normalization of brutality, struck Xiao Tiance and Qin Tian harder than any words could.

"What are you doing?"

Qin Tian sent a hasty mental transmission as he saw Xiao Tiance rise to his feet. In his disguised form, Xiao Tiance towered at three meters tall, a menacing figure among the Outer World Demons.

Xiao Tiance didn't respond. He strode directly toward the flaming haired humanoid, his towering presence casting a shadow over him.

Without warning, Xiao Tiance grabbed the demon's head and slammed it into the table with a resounding BANG!

The demon let out a pained howl, his voice filled with rage as he yelled in the Outer World Demon language, "I am Flame Nine of the Flame Demon Clan! Who do you think you are, to lay hands on me?"

Gasps rippled through the crowd.

"Flame Nine? He's the son of the city lord!"

"Someone actually dared to provoke Flame Nine?"

"He's doomed!"

The murmurs grew louder, but Xiao Tiance remained unfazed. His icy aura grew colder as he tightened his grip.

"Flame Nine? Flame Eight, Flame Ten I don't give a damn who you are!" Xiao Tiance snarled in perfect Outer World Demon dialect. "You dare disturb my meal? Kill a servant for your amusement? Who the hell do you think you are?"

Releasing a terrifying pressure equivalent to that of a Nine grade Sovereign, Xiao Tiance silenced the room. All the humans and demons present were forced to kneel under the weight of his aura.

Even Flame Nine, who had been shouting moments ago, went pale and clamped his mouth shut.

Facing the Saint Clan

Flame Nine was paralyzed with fear. His father might have been the city lord, and his Flame Demon Clan a significant force among the Outer World Demons, but this towering figure before him was disguised as a member of the Sacred Demon Clan one of the most revered and terrifying clans in the entire Outer World.

Offending a Sacred Demon was tantamount to suicide.

"P please, Lord Sacred Demon, I beg your forgiveness. I did not recognize you and acted foolishly. Please spare me!" Flame Nine pleaded, his earlier arrogance completely gone.

"Spare you?" Xiao Tiance sneered. "You think your Flame Demon Clan's so called 'face' matters to the Sacred Demon Clan? I've never even heard of you!"

Flame Nine trembled, his forehead pressed against the ground as he groveled for his life.

Qin Tian, seated quietly in the corner, sipped his wine and sent a mental message: "Tiance, you've made your point. Don't take it too far we can't risk blowing our cover now."

Hearing this, Xiao Tiance snorted and finally released Flame Nine, who collapsed to the floor, trembling.

The other patrons slowly resumed their activities, but the room remained tense. Xiao Tiance and Qin Tian returned to their table, quietly finishing their meal before continuing their journey toward Liyuan Continent.
