Several hours ago.
After watching their daughter leave that morning, the couple were filled with dread as they knew what was upon them.
"Hubby, must we really go?" Annie cautiously asked, her heart thumping against her chest and her eyes filled with reluctance.
Jack took her hands in his as he led her carefully towards the door.
"My dear, we are in a bind right now. If we don't do this, then our daughter will truly suffer. You have seen what's going on. We can't escape from this mess at all," he sighingly said, hoping that she would understand.
He never thought that things would reach such a stage. Recalling how relieves he was when the death of Gloria reached his ears, and knowing that it wasn't his hand that did it, he could only sigh regretfully at how this matter still came back to bite not just him, but everyone that he loves.
When Anne heard her husband saying that, she knew that there was no way they were going to escape from this.
