First, I'd like to apologize for the delay, but something terrible happened to me.
My house burned to the ground.
Luckily, my family managed to escape, and we're all relatively safe.
Unfortunately, we lost everything. We practically escaped barefoot and in our pajamas. Cell phones, computers, appliances, and many other things were reduced to ashes in a matter of minutes.
The fire was caused by a short circuit in the house's electrical wiring. This had been happening for several days—voltage fluctuations. I was usually up at night writing novels, but as I mentioned, I had to work today, so I didn't stay up late writing.
What would have happened if I had simply kept writing instead of working? Could I have stopped the fire from the beginning?
These are questions I've been asking myself constantly for almost a day now, every hour, every minute.
I want to believe that God sent this trial to my family and me because He believes we can overcome it... And I truly hope so.
The good news is that, since I live in a rural area, with family, friends, and neighbors nearby, they helped us from the very beginning. We already have clothes, food, and even a place to stay for a while.
I hope that my family can soon recover from this setback and we can move forward.
As for the novel, and only this novel.
The truth is, I was very lucky, and I thank my past self, because I had uploaded a backup with only two chapters behind what's currently on the webnovel, which could allow me to start writing again soon; once I get a computer and have some free time.
So, I really hope that I can publish at least one chapter this week, and maybe even two.
