Ye Ruo had already become such a dazzling figure, like a shining new star rising slowly within the ranks of the Knights of Favonius. His mastery of the blade was particularly impressive. As he matured, he did not just settle for traditional techniques; he brought forth the new through the old. He eventually managed to restore a lost lineage of swordsmanship that had been forgotten by time. This was the legendary style of Arundolyn, the Lion of Light, a former Grand Master of the Knights. It was a complex sword dance that focused on the simultaneous use of a longsword and a greatsword, allowing a warrior to unleash amazing power through coordinated strikes.

Grand Master Varka had been overjoyed at the discovery, declaring that he had found a true treasure in the young man. No one would have guessed that a simple act of taking in a stray child would create such a genius. It was truly a stroke of luck for the Knights of Favonius. It was obvious to everyone that Ye Ruo would become one of the pillars of the organization as he grew older. This reality made Varka quite proud of himself, as if his own good luck had personally manifested in the boy's talent.

Because Ye Ruo was personally taught by the Grand Master, he held a high status within the order. He earned the recognition of many veteran knights through his sheer strength and had fought side by side with them on countless missions. When it came to elemental power, his dual control of the wind was a source of constant joy. His innate ability combined with his Vision meant that his strength was far beyond that of an ordinary Anemo Vision holder.

There was no fixed rule on how one had to use elemental power, so Ye Ruo developed his own methods and skills based on his personal ideas. He treated his power much like a specialized ability from his previous life's fiction. Using the memories of his past and his current understanding of Teyvat's laws, he researched many new wind-based techniques. After all, the wind element was incredibly fun to experiment with. He enjoyed facing the blast head-on and using a series of forward-moving dashes to navigate the battlefield. Wind was truly an interesting force to command.

Within the Knights today, Ye Ruo was considered a top-tier combatant. While he had never fought the Grand Master with everything he had, he had stabilized his position against almost everyone else. Even though he sometimes wished he had a Hydro Vision instead, mostly because he felt like he was repeating himself with so much Anemo, he respected the versatility of other elements.

In his past life's memories, the abilities of the water element were quite impressive. He thought of people like Yelan and Mona, or even Barbara here in Mondstadt. Hydro Visions often manifested as healing, invisibility, fast movement, or the ability to turn water into silk threads and teleport. It was an incredibly outstanding element that allowed a user to attack when advancing and defend when retreating. More importantly, it seemed that people with Hydro Visions were often quite wealthy. Even Mona, despite her constant complaining about Mora, was technically a rich woman who just spent her money too quickly on expensive astrology equipment.

Unlike them, Ye Ruo had to work hard to make his own money. For a long time, he took on many difficult and high-paying tasks, leaving everyone else stunned by his productivity. However, even for a talented knight and powerful character like him, life was not always smooth sailing.

In the past, he had frequently clashed with Il Dottore, the Doctor of the Fatui. The two sides had secretly confronted each other many times in the shadows of Mondstadt. The Doctor's appearance in the city was a known part of the world's history, but Ye Ruo's presence triggered even more changes and developments. In the beginning, Ye Ruo suffered quite a bit. As a Fatui Harbinger, the Doctor was terrifyingly powerful. He created prosthetic bodies from slices of himself at different ages, meaning his strength varied depending on which version of himself he sent out.

The version of the Doctor that came to Mondstadt was not his peak form, but it was still formidable. The Doctor had once bluntly told Diluc that his power was insignificant compared to the Fatui's might. Furthermore, the Doctor noticed that Ye Ruo was special. Every time the man looked at him, there was a greedy, clinical light in his eyes, as if he were looking at a specimen he couldn't wait to dissect. It made Ye Ruo feel sick to his stomach. He loathed the lunatic who enjoyed playing with human experiments.

However, through these confrontations, Ye Ruo's strength rose rapidly. He gained a massive amount of combat experience and gradually stopped being the passive party in their shadow war. He eventually made the Doctor suffer several losses. Eventually, the Doctor had other business to attend to, and his prosthetic body returned to Snezhnaya for a time.

Judging by his past experiences, Ye Ruo knew the lunatic would probably return to Mondstadt eventually. The man seemed obsessed with studying Ye Ruo's unique nature and vowed not to give up until he achieved his goal. It was the mark of a truly distorted scholar. Ye Ruo felt like he was stuck with the man as an enemy of fate. It left him speechless; while other people who traveled to new worlds were surrounded by beauties, he was being stalked by a pervert. It was truly unlucky.

But he wasn't overly worried anymore. Now that he had grown up, Ye Ruo possessed the bearing and strength of a truly powerful warrior. Even the Grand Master felt comfortable leaving things in his hands. Combined with his mastery of the wind, his influence was complete. He had even managed to tease and annoy the Doctor several times during their dark encounters.

As for his current situation, Ye Ruo had temporarily left the Knights of Favonius to focus on his own personal projects. His free-spirited and unpredictable personality made the other knights feel helpless, but they couldn't really stop him. They just let him do as he pleased. After being comrades for so long, everyone knew that Senior Ye Ruo was actually very reliable. His departure was viewed more like a long vacation, so they mostly ignored it. They knew that if a real crisis occurred, Ye Ruo would be there.

Ye Ruo felt quite relieved about the state of the city. After all, the Knights still had outstanding members like Jean, Amber, and Kaeya. Ordinary problems wouldn't bother them at all. He figured those guys could handle things on their own.

The most important development was that Ye Ruo's system had finally woken up. The system had given him the power to control the wind when he first arrived and then fell into a decade-long deep sleep. Now that so much time had passed, it was finally back online to help him. It really hadn't been easy. For ten years, his strength had been the result of his own blood, sweat, and tears. He could proudly say that his current standing was entirely due to his own hard work.

Now, however, it was the system's turn to contribute. Thinking back to the day it returned, Ye Ruo remembered he was tracking monsters in the wild when a sudden sound echoed in his mind.

The system's sleeping period is over, a mechanical voice had announced. It has started to load and function normally. Please check the relevant usage information.

A mountain of information had drifted past his eyes, surprising him. His golden finger was finally online. After studying it for a while, he found that the system was relatively rigid and mechanical. Everything centered on him. If he asked a question, it provided a direct answer. It was simple and pure.

After pondering and researching for a time, Ye Ruo finally understood the nature of his system. To put it simply, it was a novel lottery system. He could publish novels and have others read them to earn something called Legendary Status. This was essentially the measure of his influence and the fame of his stories, much like the legendary songs sung by bards.
