Chapter 2 - Chapter 2 : A New Home

The voyage to North Blue was uneventful, save for the occasional sea king that Garp scared off with a punch. He stood at the bow of the ship, arms crossed, staring down at the bundle in his arms. The baby had been surprisingly quiet, staring up at him with an expression far too calm for a newborn.

"You're a weird one, kid," Garp muttered, though he couldn't deny a strange sense of attachment growing within him.

By the time they reached Hawkins Island, the sun had begun to set, casting an orange glow over the peaceful town. The island was far removed from the chaos of the Grand Line, making it an ideal place for a quiet life—something that Morgan Blue and his wife, Eliza Blue Crescent, had always dreamed of.

Garp strode through the cobbled streets, earning nods of respect from the few Marines stationed on the island. Before long, he arrived at a modest house near the harbor. Without bothering to knock, he kicked the door open.

"OI, MORGAN! GET OUT HERE!"

A loud crash echoed from inside, followed by hurried footsteps. A tall, broad-shouldered man with short black hair and a neatly trimmed beard appeared, wiping his hands on a rag. His wife, a kind-looking woman with auburn hair, peeked out from the kitchen.

"Garp?" Morgan blinked in surprise. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"I brought you a present!" Garp said with a wide grin, holding up the baby.

Eliza gasped covering her mouth, then she and Morgan exchanged bewildered glances before stepping closer to the baby. Eliza muttered in shock "A baby?"

"Found him in a treasure chest at God Valley," Garp said casually, as if he had picked up a stray puppy.

Morgan choked. "God Valley?! Garp, what the hell—"

Eliza, however, ignored her husband's outburst, already reaching out to take the child. "He's beautiful…" she whispered, gently cradling the baby in her arms, who had been silent the entire trip, let out a small coo, snuggling into Eliza's warmth embrace.

Morgan sighed, rubbing the back of his head. "You can't just dump a kid on us, Garp."

"Why not?" Garp smirked. "You and Eliza always wanted a kid, didn't you? Consider it fate."

Eliza looked up to her husband, tears welling in her eyes. "We… we've tried for many years, but…" She trailed off, holding the baby tighter. "Are you sure?" while looking at Garp hopefully.

Garp's grin softened. "He needs a family. And you two are the best damn people I know!" Morgan exhaled heavily before looking at his wife. Eliza nodded excitedly to Morgan with teary eyes.

"What's his name?" she asked to Garp.

Garp scratched his chin. "Dunno. Didn't come with a name tag."

Eliza glanced down at the baby's silver hair, emerald eyes, then caresing her finger over his soft cheek. "Sephiroth Crescent," she murmured. "It feels right."

Morgan asked dumbly "Sephiroth?"

"Because he is form God Valley, so he is God's will" Eliza explained.

Morgan noded then chuckled, shaking his head disbelief. "Sephiroth Blue Crescent, huh? Sounds like trouble."

Garp laughed heartily. "That's the spirit! Well then, I'll leave him in yours capable hand!." as he turned around and waved away.

Eliza called out, "Garp! Will we ever see you again?"

The Vice Admiral paused at the doorway, giving them a rare, genuine smile. "Yeah. I'll check in now and then. Can't let the little guy forget who his crazy old uncle is."

With that, Garp walked off into the night, leaving behind the child who would one day shake the world.
