Seeing the resurrected Phainon and the others, the Ender Dragon immediately looked towards Fu Zhu, who was floating in mid-air and looking right back at it. After a brief glance, it turned its attention back to Phainon's group.
So what if they could resurrect? It had already killed the endlessly respawning Steve countless times!
Dragon's Breath began to gather once more in the Ender Dragon's mouth.
Fu Zhu glanced at it, then returned his gaze to the charging group, once again pointing his finger at them.
"In [My] name, I grant you the [Courage] to face all."
Phainon and the others immediately noticed a faint golden light shimmering around their bodies.
And in Fu Zhu's vision, a new BUFF had appeared on them.
[Resistance V: 00:59]
The Dragon's Breath that had been building in the Ender Dragon's mouth spewed forth again. Phainon and the others subconsciously raised their arms to shield themselves, already bracing for another death.
But to their surprise, as the Dragon's Breath washed over them, they felt not the slightest hint of pain.
Confused, they opened their eyes to find themselves completely unharmed!
"Don't get distracted. The heavy burden of destroying the End Crystals falls to you."
Fu Zhu looked up at the wall Qlipoth had built. Although it protected the world outside Amphoreus, it had also isolated Jing Yuan and the others. The task of destroying the End Crystals, originally planned for the fleet, could now only be handled by the Chrysos Heirs.
"In [My] name, I grant you the [Agility] to overcome all obstacles."
[Player Phainon has gained Jump Boost and Speed]
[Player…]
Feeling a sudden surge of power welling up inside him, Phainon was the first to react. With a powerful push from his feet, he leaped high into the air, landing directly on an obsidian pillar that pierced the planet's boundary. He then plunged his longsword viciously into the End Crystal.
Boom!
The sound of the explosion on the obsidian pillar jolted the other Chrysos Heirs to their senses. They all turned and charged towards the nearest obsidian pillars.
Seeing this, the Ender Dragon immediately began to spew Dragon's Breath in their direction, but Fu Zhu teleported in front of it, a shield in his hand.
The Dragon's Breath slammed against the shield, making it clang and rattle.
Fu Zhu glanced at the shield's durability, then immediately used a command to modify it to be indestructible.
After the Ender Dragon finished its breath attack, Fu Zhu instantly drew his Yamato and unleashed a Judgement Cut.
Countless slashes struck the Ender Dragon's body, causing it to let out a pained cry.
But after the attack, Fu Zhu froze.
The Ender Dragon's health bar had dropped by a small chunk, but it quickly recovered to full health.
That recovery speed was definitely not right!
Fu Zhu immediately turned his head to look at the Chrysos Heirs' location and saw that all the End Crystals had been destroyed. So why was the Ender Dragon still regenerating health?
The Ender Dragon looked at the surprised Fu Zhu as a timeless and ancient voice emanated from its throat.
"My fate is linked with yours. As you grow stronger, so do I."
"Is that so?"
Fu Zhu wasn't too surprised. He had originally planned to give this old acquaintance he hadn't seen in a long time a dignified exit, but it seemed it would be better to end things quickly.
"/kill Ender_Dragon."
As the command was issued, the Ender Dragon's health bar was instantly depleted. Its eyes went dim, and its body began to disintegrate inch by inch until it vanished completely.
But in the next second, the Ender Dragon's vanished health bar reappeared, and its form materialized once more before Fu Zhu.
Even the End Crystals that had been destroyed reappeared atop the obsidian pillars.
Phainon and the others, who were just about to descend, were stunned to see the crystals reappear.
Mydei, perched on the edge of an obsidian pillar, shouted down to Fu Zhu below.
"Fu Zhu, the crystals are back! What's going on?"
Fu Zhu didn't answer. He frowned, staring at the newly reappeared Ender Dragon, which was now looking back at him with a mocking expression.
"You can resurrect yourself?"
The Ender Dragon gave a slight nod, its eyes full of derision.
"I told you, my fate is linked with yours. As you grow stronger, I grow stronger. Commands can no longer bind me."
With that, the Ender Dragon launched another attack at Fu Zhu, but its attack was nullified by an invisible force before it could even reach him.
Fu Zhu looked back at the Ender Dragon with the same mocking expression and retorted, "It's not like you've never fought me in Creative Mode before. You can't hurt me."
The Ender Dragon simply let out a light snort.
"Then let this battle continue until all of creation falls into silence."
Who the hell wants to fight you for an eternity!
Fu Zhu let the Ender Dragon attack him while his mind raced, trying to figure out how to solve this.
The mechanics of this Ender Dragon were different from any modded version he had ever encountered. This was the first time he'd ever heard of an Ender Dragon that could resurrect itself.
---o---
Outside Amphoreus.
The combined fleet was blocked by the high wall Qlipoth had erected, but that didn't stop them from observing the events inside.
Aboard the Express, Stelle and the others grew anxious as they watched Fu Zhu stand motionlessly while being attacked by the Ender Dragon.
"What's my big bro doing? This is a life-or-death battle! Is he flirting with the Ender Dragon?"
The people next to her couldn't help but facepalm upon hearing Stelle's wild remark.
Dan Heng nudged Stelle's waist with his elbow and corrected her, "Fu Zhu is probably trying to figure out a solution. You and I both saw it just now. The Ender Dragon 'died' once, but then it came back. That's probably why Fu Zhu isn't acting."
Himeko sighed at the scene.
"The only thing we can do now is believe in Fu Zhu. After all, if even he can't solve this, then no one in this universe can resolve this crisis."
The others fell silent, but in their hearts, they were all cheering for Fu Zhu.
You can do it, Fu Zhu.
…
Within Amphoreus, Fu Zhu was thinking on one hand, and on the other, he slapped down a command block and set it to continuously execute the command to kill the Ender Dragon.
However, every time the Ender Dragon died, it would immediately return. Even though it was being killed over and over again, it didn't show the slightest hint of pain, as if it were already accustomed to it.
Fu Zhu stared at the constantly respawning Ender Dragon, his brow furrowed.
Something's wrong. Something is very, very wrong.
No matter which modpack or mod it was, no matter how strong a BOSS was, there was always a way to kill it for good. He was probably just missing the correct method, which was why he couldn't kill the Ender Dragon.
But if even a command couldn't kill it, what other method could there be? Or was it that a specific mod that strengthened the Ender Dragon had a special artifact to kill it, and he just hadn't crafted it?
Wait a minute… a mod?
An idea began to form in Fu Zhu's mind.
