It was all over? But wasn't the Ender Dragon still right there?
Jing Yuan frowned, staring at the Ender Dragon circling in the sky. He wanted to intervene several times, but ultimately held back and retreated to the side.
"Fu Zhu, I trust you, but if you find yourself in real danger, I will step in."
"Got it."
Fu Zhu gave Jing Yuan a grateful nod, then stood his ground, waiting for the Ender Dragon to descend. Jing Yuan mirrored him, also looking up at the sky.
The Ender Dragon flew high above, looking down at Fu Zhu, who was looking right back at it. It spoke.
"Steve, tell me, why do you [Trailblaze]?"
Fu Zhu gave a puzzled shrug. "Does trailblazing need a reason?"
"I need one."
The Ender Dragon descended from the sky, landing on the portal structure and flapping its wings. It spat a stream of Dragon's Breath at Fu Zhu, but this didn't interrupt their conversation.
Fu Zhu casually dodged the Dragon's Breath, walked forward, and half-squatted, continuously hacking at the Ender Dragon's head with his diamond sword. At the same time, he furrowed his brow, thinking about how to answer the Ender Dragon.
"If I really have to give a reason, I guess it's… since I'm already here, wouldn't it be a shame not to do something, not to see something?"
The Ender Dragon laughed, a sound full of mirth.
"Hehe, that answer is very much in your style."
Jing Yuan stood to the side, watching as these two beings, who should have been fighting to the death, chatted like a pair of old friends who had known each other for years. A strange feeling welled up in his heart.
Perhaps… they really were a pair of old friends who had known each other for a very long time?
The vanilla Ender Dragon was weak. Or perhaps, it possessed greater power but chose not to use it.
In just a few minutes, the Ender Dragon's health was already in the red. Only one final blow was needed to end its life for good.
The Ender Dragon remained on the portal structure, not leaving, its gaze fixed intently on Fu Zhu.
"Come on, old friend. Strike the final blow."
Fu Zhu nodded, tightened his grip on his diamond sword, and viciously plunged it into the Ender Dragon's head.
"See you next time, old friend," he said softly.
As the Ender Dragon's last drop of health depleted, it suddenly vibrated its wings and flew high into the sky. Its body began to crumble, and countless experience orbs shot out from the cracks in its form, raining down on the ground below.
Fu Zhu simply stood there, his head tilted back, bathing in the shower of emerald green.
The Ender Dragon looked down at Fu Zhu. It opened its mouth, but no sound came out.
'Steve, I wish you an unending trailblazing journey.'
Finally, the Ender Dragon let out one last roar, a roar that echoed throughout the cosmos.
Every living being heard this dragon's roar in their ears. They all turned to look in the direction the sound came from, wondering what had happened.
At that moment, a long-dormant notification popped up in Fu Zhu's system.
[Progress Unlocked: Liberate The End!]
[Achievement Points Gained: 500]
Fu Zhu paid no mind to the system's rewards. He turned his head to look at the dark purple Dragon Egg that had appeared on top of the portal structure.
Jing Yuan walked over, his face still etched with a bit of disbelief. He followed Fu Zhu's gaze to the Dragon Egg left behind.
"Is that… the Ender Dragon's egg? Is it all over?"
Fu Zhu nodded. "Yeah, it's all over."
Jing Yuan still found it hard to believe. The Ender Dragon, which had displayed such divine might earlier, had died so anticlimactically? It was as if he and Fu Zhu had just played a game of house and it was over.
Fu Zhu glanced at the incredulous Jing Yuan and said with a smile, "It was just like before, fulfilling the promise we made. Don't worry, it's really over."
At least for now.
Jing Yuan nodded at Fu Zhu's words. He believed Fu Zhu wouldn't deceive him about something like this.
The relaxed smile returned to Jing Yuan's face.
The Irontomb was dealt with, the Ender Dragon was dealt with. This was a good result.
Just then, the figure of Zephyro suddenly appeared, lunging straight for the Dragon Egg.
Zephyro's sudden appearance was unexpected by both Fu Zhu and Jing Yuan. Having uninstalled his minimap mod earlier, Fu Zhu hadn't detected Zephyro's approach at all.
Jing Yuan wanted to stop him, but it was too late! He could only watch helplessly as Zephyro's hand reached for the Dragon Egg.
The very next second after his hand made contact with the egg, the egg flickered and vanished before his eyes. It then fell squarely into the portal at the center of the structure and disappeared from sight.
Seeing the Dragon Egg gone, Fu Zhu immediately turned his head. He looked at the unsuccessful ambusher, Zephyro, with ice-cold eyes and spoke in a voice only he could hear.
"System, install all mods!"
[Just Enough Items (JEI) installed, JourneyMap installed, SlashBlade installed, Apotheosis MOD installed… Amphoreus Mod installed!]
"/gamemode 1"
[Current game mode has been switched to: Creative Mode!]
Fu Zhu swung his hand towards Zephyro. A hand made of Bedrock materialized out of thin air, an extension of his own arm, and slapped down heavily on Zephyro.
Zephyro raised his sword to block, but the blade only sparked against the Bedrock hand before he was viciously slammed into the ground, unable to move!
Jing Yuan, seeing Fu Zhu suddenly subdue Zephyro, breathed a sigh of relief.
Fu Zhu walked up to Zephyro, who was pinned to the ground and unable to move, and said coldly, "I was planning on saving you dregs of Destruction to play with later. After all, speed-running the game is no fun. But you touched something you shouldn't have, and now I have to go through the trouble of going back to my spawn point to get it. For that, you deserve to die."
Zephyro merely lifted his head to glare at Fu Zhu, his body still struggling in vain against the pressure of the Bedrock hand.
Seeing him like this, Fu Zhu didn't bother to torture him further. He simply pointed a finger at Zephyro.
"/kill Zephyro."
The next second, Zephyro, who had been struggling, suddenly went rigid. Then, he vanished without a trace, clean and complete.
Seeing Zephyro dealt with, Jing Yuan immediately took out his phone to contact Feixiao and have her keep an eye on the other Lord Ravagers, but Fu Zhu raised a hand to stop him.
"No need. The others have already fled."
Jing Yuan could only put his plan on hold.
At that moment, Stelle, March 7th, Dan Heng, Himeko, and the others all teleported to their location.
"Big Bro!"
"Fu Zhu!"
Stelle and March 7th were the first to run over, throwing themselves at Fu Zhu. He hurriedly opened his arms to catch them both.
March 7th buried her face in Fu Zhu's chest and said emotionally, "Fu Zhu, you did it!"
Fu Zhu had just broken into a grin when Stelle suddenly looked up and quipped, "It was just a little funny when you were fighting the Ender Dragon with your butt stuck out."
Fu Zhu: ?
