After watching Max deal with Dipter and Popper with almost no trouble, Dud found himself questioning whether he could win. His powers had given him confidence, but healing from an attack wasn't the same as being able to stop one. How far could he push that ability before it failed him?
Before Dud could reach an answer, Max was already running towards him. As he came within range, he lifted his leg and threw a powerful side kick, adding the strength of the exoskeleton to his own.
Dud barely managed to raise his arms. They were already close to a defensive position, but even that small advantage wasn't enough. Max's foot drove through his guard, snapping his wrists before striking him in the stomach.
His body flew backwards and crashed into a shipping container, leaving an imprint in the metal.
Dud quickly pushed himself off the ground. His wrists were healing, but the impact had left him disoriented. For a moment, he struggled to work out where he was.
