The world was not breathing. Inside the Tribunal's sacred chamber, no one spoke. No one moved. Mirshad lay unconscious — but his presence still shook the room. His divine body rested silently, yet the very air trembled around him. The Soul Slayer had vanished. But what remained… was fear. The kind of fear that doesn't scream. It whispers. And the only sound that followed—THOOM. A low, deep vibration. The sound of something ancient returning.
The great sealed stone door at the edge of the chamber cracked open. Dust fell. Light dimmed. They turned…
He was coming.
The being they hadn't seen since the awakening of Mirshad. The one older than earth.
He stepped out. Ten feet tall. Eyes glowing with the memory of every century. The room fell to its knees. Even the Tribunal bowed. Not out of duty. But out of fear. He walked past them slowly, as if measuring their souls with every glance. Then he stopped in front of Mirshad's unconscious body. He didn't kneel. He bowed his head. And then, he whispered loud enough for the walls to remember.
"It's happening… the one we waited for is returning."
"The flicker you saw… was not power. It was memory."
"Because the Creator's strength is not in his hands. It's in his forgotten truth."
He turned to them all.
"You fear the Soul Slayer…"
"But you should fear what happens if the Creator fully awakens."
"Because if he remembers everything — the end will not be war…"
"It will be correction."
Silence.
And then he walked forward, past the fire of the torches that bowed to him. He faced the Soul Slayer's ashes. Then raised one hand toward the ceiling, toward the sky itself.
"You wanted to know why the Slayer couldn't take your souls?"
"Because his presence was here."
"When the Creator walks a room — every other soul binds itself in silence."
"Nothing moves."
"Nothing breathes."
"Because the universe knows its maker."
He looked down again.
"And the Slayer...?"
"He didn't run."
"He escaped."
"Because for the first time since his creation... he felt something greater than power."
"He felt... origin."
The old being turned to the rest once more.
"The Creator is still asleep..."
"But one more step, one more push..."
"And the veil will shatter."
"When that day comes — you won't need soldiers, weapons, or prayers."
"You'll need permission to exist."
He looked at the Tribunal.
"And from what I've seen today... none of you are ready."
And just like that… he walked back. Toward the darkness. Back into the sealed door from where he came. And the stone slowly shut behind him.
THOOM.
