Chapter 251 - The Fourth Seal — Tremor of the Unknown

The sun still hovered in the sky, but its light began to dim as if even the heavens sensed what was approaching. On the temple grounds, the twenty Mandram Holders stood in their sacred formation. Their voices rose in powerful chants, ancient mantras vibrating through the stones beneath their feet. The spiritual leader lifted the Thaliolam high, eyes shut, lips moving with words that hadn't been spoken aloud in over a thousand years. But the fourth door stood unmoved. Unyielding. Unimpressed. Hours passed. Voices began to break. Two of them collapsed, steam rising from their bodies as though the sacred energy had burned through their very essence. One of the elders stepped back, voice hoarse. "This door is different," he whispered. "It does not challenge our strength—it challenges our worth." Every attempt ended in rejection. No sound. No vibration. No flicker. Just silence. Not even the wind dared move. The temple grounds fell into a breathless stillness, like a forgotten graveyard of gods.

Far from the temple, live broadcasts filled the air across India. Inside television studios and spiritual halls, historians, sages, and scholars debated with trembling voices. A professor leaned into the mic, voice steady but shaken. "In our scriptures… it is written that there are seven skies. Seven realms between the mortal and the divine." Another scholar added, "This temple, its construction—it mimics those cosmic layers. Each door a gate through one sky. This fourth seal… is the midpoint. The gateway to divine consciousness." The world watched with wide eyes. Doubters turned silent. Skeptics leaned forward. Even children sensed something real was happening.

Inside the car parked under heavy guard, Mirshad sat silent. Rayyan held a cup of tea, eyes on the screen in front of them. The chanting echoed faintly from the live feed. But then—Mirshad leaned forward. His hand gripped the seat. The other touched his chest. His breathing changed. It wasn't fear. It was a pull. A whisper. A calling. A flash crossed his vision—so fast, yet eternal. A battlefield not of Earth. Skies burning gold. A figure glowing like a living star, breaking chains not made of metal but of time. A scream that shattered galaxies. Mirshad's fingers twitched. His back straightened. Rayyan turned. "Brother?" Mirshad exhaled sharply. "Something's wrong," he said. "I felt a memory… that doesn't belong to me."

Back at the temple, the spiritual leader dropped to one knee. His voice cracked as he pressed his palm into the sacred floor. "We are not enough," he admitted. One of them screamed. Symbols that had once glowed proudly across his skin turned red, then vanished. He collapsed, unconscious. Another one muttered in panic. "We're missing something." Then, from the edge of the formation, the youngest among them gasped. "The fifth breath," he said. "The old text… before the fourth seal opens, a fifth breath must be offered." The others turned to him, confused. "Not from man. Not from beast. But from… fate." A silence followed. What did that mean? No one knew. But the air felt heavier. The stars above shimmered strangely. And inside the SUV… Mirshad's hand twitched again. His heartbeat slowed unnaturally. His eyes—just for a second—glowed gold.

That night, the chants had ended. The crowds had retreated. Silence returned to the temple. Only one Mandram Holder remained awake, standing before the fourth door. He walked closer, placing his palm gently on the cold surface. He didn't speak. He didn't chant. He simply closed his eyes. And then—something happened. A faint pulse. A vibration from the door itself. It was not anger. Not resistance. It was something older. A whisper brushed his mind. A voice without sound. "He's near," it said. "The one we were carved to wait for." The Holder opened his eyes in shock. But nothing more came. Just silence. Deep, ancient silence. Yet he knew what he had heard.

And inside that temple, behind the fourth seal, something had begun to stir.
