"Miss Eden, could you tell me what equipment we are missing?"
At dusk, Aponia presented the results of her day's visit to Eden for her review.
"Let's see…" Eden searched through the box at her feet.
"Mmm… we are still missing a microphone."
"Couldn't we use a loudspeaker instead?"
Aponia picked up a megaphone from the box and asked Eden very seriously.
For Dusk Street, microphones are too delicate and much less practical than loudspeakers.
Eden remained silent as she watched Aponia pick up the horn, which still had some rust on it.
Using a loudspeaker instead of a microphone...
Are these two things even the same?
They are completely different!
Although Eden is not a classicist, she is not going to use a loudspeaker instead of a microphone...
Well, in reality, Eden did not expect the microphone she found in Dusk Street to be of very high quality.
But even if it is bad, it is still better than a loudspeaker, right?
What would you even call taking a loudspeaker onto the stage? It turned the concert into a town meeting!
"If all else fails, I can do without the amplification equipment."
Eden had been with Aponia all day and knew how tired she was, so, seeing the situation, she couldn't bear to trouble her further.
"I trust that I can address about a hundred people with just my voice... I don't think there will be many people at my first charity concert."
If the situation becomes chaotic, it is impossible to control even fifty or sixty people, much less a hundred.
However, there is a possibility that the other party will calm down on their own.
If one sings so amazingly, they can silence the noise of a hundred people or more.
"There is one last place left, let's go there."
Aponia put the box back in its place, stood up, and went out into the street.
"I've always felt that Miss Aponia has great hopes for me... it's a truly heavy feeling."
Eden watched Aponia's receding figure and couldn't help but complain to Tian Shi.
Although it was the first time they had met, Eden received such selfless help that at that moment she felt an extraordinary weight on her shoulders.
"I also have great hopes for you, I had never seen you so serious."
"You are different," Eden replied confidently after a moment of reflection.
Although Tian Shi does not understand music or art, he is actually the source of half of Eden's faith.
Eden's confidence came partly from her own genuine talent and partly from Tian Shi, the person who understood her best.
Tian Shi asked her to sing an impressive song, and Eden felt no pressure.
Since Tian Shi was the one who understood her best, she was sure she could meet his expectations.
With this mentality, Eden naturally felt no pressure.
But as for Aponia... it seems that the expectations Aponia has for her are a bit too high for their first meeting.
"What do you mean by 'different'?" Tian Shi was a bit annoyed by this ambiguous statement.
"Mainly, I feel that Miss Aponia has worked very hard for me, a stranger she just met, almost as if she expected me to completely resolve the conflict in Dusk Street with a single song."
Eden thought that if Aponia really had such expectations of her, then she could simply run away.
In the worst case, she could donate more money to the sanatorium after escaping, as a way of returning the favor.
Although she is young, ambitious, and overflowing with self-confidence, she is not so arrogant as to think she can solve the problems of a region with just her voice.
She only sings, she isn't brainwashing.
Her limit is the ability to transmit emotions and captivate everyone.
"Well... don't worry, the expectations Aponia has for you are not that high."
Tian Shi could understand, at least to some extent, Aponia's thoughts.
In random simulations, the compatibility between both parties is still very important.
While it cannot be fully explained by compatibility, Aponia's compatibility with him is certainly not low.
To be fair, for Aponia, a respectable nun, to treat a ghost like God is simply absurd.
Aponia's mind is definitely not wrong.
After a careful analysis of the relationship between Tian Shi and Aponia, it is possible that they really hit it off, or perhaps Aponia simply let it out subconsciously due to her spiritual intuition.
The low compatibility with Aponia was mainly because Tian Shi was a complete novice at that time.
Furthermore, as a spirit, he could not speak and his power was limited to holding an apple.
He communicated exclusively through paper.
Under these conditions, compatibility could still reach over 100, which shows that it really wasn't Aponia's problem.
If we talk exclusively about compatibility, Aponia could compete with Rita, the original host, for the top spot.
Thus, although Aponia's compatibility is currently the lowest in appearance, Tian Shi's understanding of Aponia is not inferior to that of the others.
"Aponia's words to you… are mainly intended to help you, believe me, Aponia knows more about the chaos in Dusk Street than you do, and besides, she herself is a pragmatist."
Aponia would never wait for divine favor through hardships; she was the type of nun who would only pray to fate after having done everything possible.
"So you've taken me to the Virgin Mary, right?"
Hearing Tian Shi say that, Eden felt much calmer immediately.
"But it's truly incredible that someone like that appears in a place like Dusk Street."
Eden smoothed her hair with some melancholy, then changed her tone and looked at Tian Shi sideways.
"Speaking of which, you certainly know Miss Aponia very well."
"Well, I only know a little about it."
Tian Shi did not try to argue; after all, there was a risk that explaining it would only make things worse.
"It doesn't matter, I'm not going to argue with you."
Eden rolled her eyes while looking at Tian Shi.
Since Mobius appeared and Eden found out about Tian Shi's peculiarities, she had prepared herself mentally for certain things.
But there is no other choice.
I will have to go step by step.
I can't just ask Tian Shi how many women he knows, right? Not to mention the risk to my heart, I must also consider if I would embarrass Tian Shi.
Furthermore, these two are already a good enough headache at this point.
Mobius herself could not accept the challenge, but for Miss Aponia... accepting the challenge would make her feel guilty.
This feeling is actually quite frustrating.
Eden shook her head, leaving behind her slight discouragement.
"Hey Tian, weren't you here to catch the cat? Where is the cat?"
Her advantage over the other two lay, undoubtedly, in the fact that she was the one closest to Tian Shi and could help him in everything within her power.
"Cat..."
Tian Shi hesitated for a moment.
"Perhaps if you go out now and follow Aponia, you will see the cat I was telling you about."
