At this point, all they had were Jason's word and the belief of some of the other members of the council that the plan would work, so there was a real chance that Jason and Agiel wouldn't be able to stop this beast and they would all die here!
There was no way Kalum wouldn't be feeling very stressed about this mission!
Kalum spoke up to his secretary.
"How are the evacuation plans in the parallel worlds progressing? Are there still any stragglers?"
Kalum frowned as he said this, and the secretary immediately knew that he was just trying to change the topic to take his mind off the current mission, and she was grateful for the new topic! The secretary nodded as she brought up a file and read from it.
