"Of course not. Why would I want to kill the person who would help me find my identity?" Seraphina frowned.
"Thought as much," Gabriel shrugged. "Get over it already."
Seraphina exhaled quietly, then took a step back, her bare feet gliding across the cold stone floor. The playful atmosphere around her faded, replaced by something much more serious.
"Alright," she said. "But don't complain later."
She adjusted her stance, one leg sliding back slightly as her posture shifted. Even without releasing her full power, the air around her subtly distorted, a faint crimson pressure bearing down on the warehouse.
Gabriel stood still. He didn't brace or reinforce his body with mana and simply waited.
"Ready? Here I come!" The vampire queen moved.
There was no exaggerated wind up, no dramatic flare. Her foot struck Gabriel squarely in the abdomen with a dull, heavy thud that echoed throughout the warehouse.
BOOM.
