Dante let out a long, steady breath and opened his eyes again, giving Alina a gentle, apologetic look.
"You may sleep wherever you feel comfortable," he said softly, choosing his words with care this time. "My room included… only if you feel unsafe."
Alina swallowed hard and nodded weakly. "Y-yes, sir…"
Lucien and Sable exchanged glances, their faces lighting up so brightly that it was obvious how excited they felt.
Alina stood frozen in place, the echo of Dante's words ringing softly in her ears as she slowly became aware of the fact that she was being stared at.
