She leaned back slightly, a small laugh slipping out of her.
"Nowadays I am feeling much lighter and freer," she said, shaking her head. "Otherwise, the whole time I had to train with Fluffy."
Dante's lips curved, a quiet chuckle leaving him as he nodded. "Yeah. We didn't get much time for ourselves," he said calmly, though something softer lived under his tone. "Not to mention… it was painful to watch you struggle."
Alina didn't answer that immediately. She just looked at him for a moment, then looked down, a small thoughtful expression crossing her face, like she was remembering how hard those days had really been. She folded her hands on her lap as he reached into one of his desk drawers and pulled out a small, dark-covered book, sliding it across the desk toward her.
