After lunchtime, all the babies gathered in a group, sitting and standing in a messy circle on the classroom floor. The air was loud with overlapping voices, tiny arguments, and dramatic declarations, like they were running the most important election in the world instead of choosing a class representative.
"If you give me your vote, I will buy everyone snacks… very tasty snacks!" Drake said proudly, standing in the middle like a tiny leader giving a campaign speech, his chest puffed out and eyes shining like he had just invented the best idea in history.
Several babies immediately looked interested.
Sable blinked slowly.
Kelpie's eyes sparkled for a second before he coughed and tried to look serious.
"Growl! You cannot bribe them with snacks! I will tell teacher!" Luna snapped, crossing her arms and glaring at him like a strict security officer.
Drake gasped, pointing at her in betrayal. "You are sabotaging my future!"
