Chapter 68 - Chapter 64: The Art of Distraction

Last Chapter Recap: There's no way back at this point. I need to gain some advantage… and that Titties will help me!

NOW

Crew Deck

Immediately after the end of my shift, I approached lt. Laura. There's no time to waste.

"Ensign?" Laura called, her voice gently cutting through the moment.

"Lieutenant, if you don't mind…" Adam said, his voice tinged with hesitation. "I could really use your help with a certain problem."

"I'm sorry, but Commander..." Laura said, her voice trembling with uncertainty.

Fuck, because of her brainwashing, she should be strongly compelled to help me!

"I'm very sorry, Ensign..." Laura said, her voice laced with regret. "But I already promised the commander I'd help her with deciding the enemy database... We're already so close."

What?! Close?! Don't tell me…!

"Is that so?" Adam said, his voice tinged with disappointment. "That's a real shame."

I still have my insurance… but if the commander is indeed waiting for lt. Laura, knocking her off would be too risky.

"Yes," Laura said, her tone softening. "If you could... erm, excuse me."

Fuck. This isn't good. This definitely isn't good. What does she mean by 'close'? Can they have decrypted the database already?

There's no way I can stop the lieutenant at this point. Commander Heidi is already too suspicious of me.

I briefly contemplate some sort of sabotage, but that's even riskier. Plus, it might make surveillance tighter in the future.

"Think, genius," Adam muttered to himself. "What could make the Commander abandon her endeavours for a night?"

I have an idea. Crazy idea that just may work.

I quickly jump towards comms, calling two slaves who should be on stands by.

"Ensign Major, meet me at the infirmary," Adam said, his tone firm. "This is top priority."

"...Roger," Natasha said over comms, a hint of concern in her voice.

"Yes, sir!" Aurora said sharply over comms, her voice crisp with determination.

Hearing their voices finally calms me down a little. I can do it. Or I still have one final trump card.

Medical Bay

By the time I arrive to infirmary, my devoted slaves are already waiting for me.

"Fufufu~" Ivanna said with a sly smile. "We're ready for you, Master~"

"As delightful as that sounds," Adam said, a hint of restraint in his voice, "we have other things to take care of."

Hearing my somber tone, all three slaves quickly drop their flirtatious attitude and show determined faces.

"What happened, Master?" Aurora asked, her voice laced with concern.

"I need you and Natasha to run a little errand for me," Adam said, his voice steady but serious. "It's a bit risky… but I trust you. I know you can do it."

"Anything for you, Master," Natasha said with quiet resolve. "What is it?"

"I need you to distract the Commander," Adam said, his tone firm. "For this…"

I explain my plan as concisely and precisely as possible. Fortunately, my three slaves are keen listeners.

"Understood, Master!" Natasha said, her voice filled with determination.

"However," Ivanna said, her voice tinged with worry, "I am worried it might expose you, Master…"

"Don't worry about me," Adam said, his tone steady. "If you do everything as I've outlined, I'll be safer than ever."

"Of course, Master," Ivanna said, her voice laced with self-reproach. "I was stupid for this slave to question you."

"So, when do we start, Master?" Aurora asked, her voice eager and ready for action.

"Every second might be important here," Adam said, his tone sharp. "Are you ready? Then let's go!"

"Yes, Master," the three slaves said in unison, raising their hands like a pledge.

While my girls head to their designated locations, I go back to the crew deck. This is one place where not only I can do my part, but also have an alibi.

Crew Deck

"Ensign?" Selana called after I entered the deck.

"Ah, sorry, Captain," Adam said, his voice tinged with guilt. "I forgot to check on something during my shift."

"I see..." Selana said, her tone calm but with a hint of skepticism. "Carry on, then."

Fortunately, during nighttime, captain is essentially running the ship all on her own… she can't afford to play notice to one guy in the corner.

"Initiating connection... Done," Adam said, his voice steady and focused.

What am I about to do is an art available only to most skilled intelligence officers of the alliance. Ironic. The skill I'll use right now was taught to me by the very people I'll use it against.
