Could a Lapras of this size truly exist in the world?

Or rather, was this even a Lapras at all?

Could it be some kind of evolved form?

Preist-3 frowned as he studied the suddenly appearing Gigantamax Lapras. This was his first time encountering a Lapras of such enormous proportions.

While the Pokémon before him shared roughly eighty to ninety percent similarity with a normal Lapras, its shell and the ice formations spiraling around its body differed noticeably from the standard species.

Most importantly, this Gigantamax Lapras radiated immense power. He could sense tremendous pressure emanating from it—an indication of at least Champion-level strength.

In the Pokémon world, one general rule held true: the larger the body, the greater the power.

This Lapras was massive, which meant its strength was undoubtedly formidable.

Despite this realization,Priest-3's eyes showed no trace of panic.

He maintained absolute confidence in his own abilities. Even facing a Gigantamax Lapras, he believed he could handle the situation.

"Are you here to defend Andrew?" Preist-3's voice turned cold as he stared directly at Jacob, who stood on the Gigantamax Lapras's back. His tone carried no emotion whatsoever. "Let's see if you actually have the strength to back up that choice."

"Regieleki, Thunder Cage!"

Preist-3 acted immediately without further discussion. If someone wanted to interfere, they needed to prove they had the power to do so.

Thunder Cage—Regieleki's signature move—could trap opponents within a cage formed entirely of lightning, preventing them from escaping for a set duration.

However, given the sheer size of the Gigantamax Lapras, attempting to contain it with Thunder Cage would be nothing short of foolish.

Regieleki erupted in brilliant golden lightning that spread across the sky like a massive spider web, attempting to envelop the Gigantamax Lapras completely.

"Lapras, G-Max Hydropump."

Facing Regieleki's assault, Jacob hesitated briefly before making his decision.

He chose to have Gigantamax Lapras use G-Max Hydropump rather than its signature move, G-Max Resonance.

The reason was simple: too many survivors were struggling in the surrounding waters. If G-Max Resonance were used, the instantly released freezing air might accidentally harm those he was trying to save.

He had come here to rescue people, not endanger them. Jacob settled on having Gigantamax Lapras use G-Max Hydropump instead.

Endless seawater converged toward Gigantamax Lapras, forming a massive sphere of water before it like a coiling dragon.

Moments later, the water sphere transformed into a towering column that tore through the night sky, blasting toward Preist-3's position above.

That's right—Jacob had Gigantamax Lapras aim not at Regieleki, but at Preist-3 himself, who was riding on Salamence.

While Regieleki might not excel in other areas, its speed was absolutely unmatched.

At such a great distance, landing G-Max Hydropump accurately on Regieleki would be extremely difficult, if not impossible.

Jacob didn't want to waste a Gigantamax move on an attack that might miss, so he chose to target Preist-3 directly.

The strategy was classic: attack the enemy's base to force them to retreat. Capture the leader to scatter their forces. Strike the rider before you strike the mount.

This wasn't an official League battle with rules and regulations. Why focus on defeating Pokémon when targeting the Trainer directly was an option?

Preist-3 immediately recognized Jacob's intention. Seeing the G-Max Hydropump—several times more powerful than a standard Water Pulse—approaching rapidly, he didn't dare take the hit directly.

"Salamence, dodge it!"

Hearing Preist-3's command, Salamence flapped its blood-red wings powerfully, moving with agility through the air as it desperately tried to evade the G-Max Hydropump assault.

But G-Max Hydropump wasn't so easily avoided. Even Iron Valiant, with its exceptional speed, couldn't dodge such an attack—let alone a Salamence.

The G-Max Hydropump shattered the Thunder Cage in the sky completely, its remaining force still tremendous as it continued toward Preist-3's location.

"Regieleki, Salamence, both of you use Protect!"

Preist-3 realized that Salamence's speed alone couldn't evade the G-Max Hydropump. He decisively commanded Regieleki to return and defend, using Protect to form a barrier before him.

Simultaneously, Salamence also activated Protect. With both Pokémon using the defensive move together, he refused to believe they couldn't block the attack.

Upon hearing Preist-3's command, Regieleki's form flashed across the sky like golden lightning tearing through the darkness. It appeared instantly before Preist-3, raising a protective light shield and desperately attempting to resist the G-Max Hydropump from Gigantamax Lapras.

"Boom!"

A standard Protect naturally couldn't defend against a Gigantamax move.

"Crack!"

The light shield shattered on impact, blasted into fragments like broken glass that scattered through the air. However, it had served its purpose, successfully reducing some of G-Max Hydropump's remaining power.

"Salamence, Protect!"

Salamence roared, flapping its blood-red wings as another light shield formed before it, finally blocking what remained of the G-Max Hydropump assault.

Water splashed everywhere, cascading down in heavy sheets.

Preist-3, riding on Salamence's back, found his clothes thoroughly soaked by the spraying water. He frowned, his gaze fixed on the Gigantamax Lapras floating on the ocean surface.

This suddenly appearing Gigantamax Lapras proved far more troublesome than he had anticipated. Especially on this boundless ocean, which served as the Gigantamax Lapras's home territory, granting it a significant advantage and making it even more difficult to handle.

If they were fighting on land, this Gigantamax Lapras would pose much less of a threat.

"Beep." Just then, Preist-3's phone buzzed.

"The people from China will arrive in three to four minutes. You'd better hurry up." The voice from the other end made Preist-3's expression grow even more serious.

Three minutes.

He didn't have much time remaining.

Preist-3 decided not to hold back any longer. Besides his ace Pokémon, he pulled out two additional Poké Balls and released them.

"Go, Wishiwashi!"

"Go, Sirfetch'd!"

Two Champion-level Pokémon appeared simultaneously.

These two Pokémon might not be his strongest overall, but they were the most suitable for battling in ocean conditions.

Wishiwashi appeared directly in its School Form, diving into the sea immediately upon release.

Sirfetch'd, meanwhile, gripped its long leek lance and shield, circling through the air. Its gaze remained sharp as a blade, locked onto the Gigantamax Lapras in the water below.

"If you still want to interfere, you're welcome to try again." Preist-3 stared directly at Jacob. "I suggest you hand Andrew over instead."

Seeing the two additional Champion-level Pokémon appear, Jacob's expression grew somewhat grim. He couldn't release Iron Valiant under such public scrutiny with so many witnesses.

He could only rely on Gigantamax Lapras to fight against four opponents, which put him at a severe disadvantage.

Therefore, Jacob didn't want to continue this confrontation with Preist-3. "I won't interfere with Andrew's situation," he stated clearly, "but if you intend to massacre these people, then I'll have no choice but to stop you."

"Do you even have the ability to stop me?" Preist-3 chuckled darkly. His four Champion-level Pokémon gave him more than enough confidence.
