My heart beats furiously as Alec brushes past me, his attention glued in the direction where Xander happened to be hiding. If I let him go there, then there's no doubt this whole thing will blow over!
Without thinking much about my decision, I cut in front of him, wrapping my arms around his neck. I used it to pull his head down toward mine before finally pressing my lip against his. The contact made my skin crawl but I fought against the desire to pull away.
At first, I felt his body go perfectly still with shock before he relaxed, although not kissing me back which made the whole thing bearable. I pulled away , collapsing my hands over my mouth giving the illusion of being in shock.
"Alpha Alec, I'm so sorry." I gasped, forcing some emotions into my voice. "I have no idea what has gotten into me, I need to tell Annika about this and apologize to her." I turned to leave, with the intention of getting him to follow me to the room so Xander and Logan could leave.
