The moment Ivy understood his meaning, her face instantly turned bright red.
She glared at him cutely before whispering furiously, "How can you say something so indecent in public?"
Silas looked entirely unashamed.
"It was my wife who started the dangerous conversation first," he replied calmly.
Hearing his unusually sharp tone, Ivy blinked slightly.
Only then did she realize that perhaps she had genuinely touched a painful subject.
Normally, Silas resembled an affectionate golden retriever around her and almost never became upset, regardless of what she did.
Taking a small breath, Ivy finally softened.
"Alright, alright," she muttered helplessly. "I admit my mistake."
Silas's expression eased slightly afterward, although he still leaned closer and whispered quietly, "You still need punishment."
