The strength completely left her body. She stumbled forward.
Just as she was about to collapse onto the floor, Silas quickly caught her.
He gently supported her fragile body before carefully carrying her back toward the bed.
His movements were incredibly gentle, almost as though he feared hurting her.
After laying her down, he adjusted the blanket around her.
Feeling the unusual tenderness, Ivy became even more anxious.
She quickly grabbed his sleeve. "W-Where are we?"
Her voice trembled.
"What about those superior beings? Where are they? Are they going to attack Earth now? Did the negotiations fail? Were they dissatisfied with my body?"
One question after another escaped her lips. Silas quietly listened until she finally finished.
Only then did he calmly answer, "We tricked them. They won't be coming back for the time being."
Hearing that, Ivy frowned deeply. "...Why?"
She looked straight into his eyes.
