His gaze darkened. "And anyone who stands in the path leading to that Throne must be sacrificed."
His eyes seemed to pierce through space itself.
"It just so happens that you've become one of those obstacles. So naturally, they'll eliminate you before you ever have the chance to interfere."
Ivy immediately puffed out her cheeks. "I'm not even interested in that stupid throne."
She crossed her arms. "Why are they acting as though I desperately want it?"
Nanami merely smiled. "Unfortunately, it doesn't matter whether you want it or not. What matters is whether they believe you might one day obtain it."
The room fell silent again. Finally, Nanami spoke once more. "Anyway, I've delivered my warning."
His expression became serious. "If possible, finish both of them within the next two days."
Silas nodded without hesitation. "I understand."
The communication link gradually faded. Silence once again filled the underground room.
