Alice snorted in response. "He is not my good son. He is your good son."
Asher stared at the two of them as they continued arguing as though he were not even present.
'They completely forgot that I am standing right here.'
With no desire to get caught in the middle of their argument, Asher quietly left.
However, the moment he returned to his own place, he quickly shared the good news with Danielle.
Instead of looking happy, Danielle immediately became nervous.
"Asher, I do not know how I am supposed to behave in front of your parents, especially since they already know about my past. I do not even know how I will be able to face them now."
Asher gently comforted her. "Do not worry. I will be with you. No one will say anything inappropriate to you."
He smiled reassuringly.
"Danielle, trust me. My parents are genuinely good people, and they do not believe rumors without investigating the truth themselves."
Danielle took a deep breath and nodded. "All right."
