Chapter 500 Recruiting the Entire Division, Big Improvement!
Of course, rewards like that never appear out of nowhere.
Ryuunosuke had spent a mountain of reputation points back when he completed the First Division Night Raid roster. That meant one thing. If he finished the other divisions too, the system would definitely hand over more treasures.
With that thought, he opened the member lists for the remaining teams.
Among the Seven Deadly Sins, only Gowther and Diane were still missing. Recruiting both of them would cost 300,000 reputation points.
As for Pain's group and the Phantom Troupe, the total price to fill their last gaps was 180,000.
He had enough.
Ryuunosuke did not hesitate. He tapped recruit.
A huge chunk of reputation vanished, and one magic circle after another flared to life in the cabin.
"Huh?"
Gowther blinked, staring blankly at the man in front of him.
"This is… the captain?"
The others looked no less stunned.
"Captain?"
At the same time, Diane sensed Meliodas's presence and rushed in right away.
Soon after, Chrollo stepped into the cabin as well, glancing at the new arrivals with a calm smile.
"So you're here too."
Then he turned to Ryuunosuke.
"Captain, I'll take them first."
He had long since gotten used to Ryuunosuke pulling people from other worlds into the crew. This process was practically routine for him now.
"Go ahead."
Ryuunosuke nodded.
Chrollo led the knights and the others out.
Ryuunosuke looked at Gowther, who still wore that dazed puppet expression.
"Gowther, go find Meliodas. They'll explain everything to you."
Gowther's body was a puppet, so his face always seemed slow and harmless. But Ryuunosuke knew better. Once this guy started fighting, he was anything but cute.
"Understood, Captain."
Gowther nodded, then left the cabin.
The last four figures standing there belonged to Pain's team.
Chikushudo of the Animal Path.
Shurado of the Asura Path.
Ningendo of the Human Path.
Gakido of the Preta Path.
Ryuunosuke took out his Dragon Hunter Order and contacted Yahiko.
"Yahiko, I've recruited the remaining four for you. When are you coming to pick them up?"
"Gakido and the others?"
Yahiko's voice came through quickly.
"Captain, I'm almost there already. Two more days and I'll reach you."
"Huh?"
Ryuunosuke froze.
"Why are you coming here? I told you to stay at the base."
Jigokudo was still critical to the Dragon Hunter Pirates. Yahiko and the others should have been guarding the island, not leaving it.
"It's the island. I came here with it," Yahiko replied, sounding helpless. "And it's moving fast."
Originally, Bagram Island was their base. The Dragon Hunter Pirates' science team stayed there. Yahiko, Jigokudo, and the rest of the Third Division remained there too. Their reserve crew and support hands trained there as well.
But now the entire island was moving on its own, heading in the same direction as Ryuunosuke's fleet.
To be precise, it was moving toward Raftel.
That alone had already confused Yahiko. The fact that its course matched Ryuunosuke's location was even stranger.
"The island moved by itself?"
Ryuunosuke narrowed his eyes.
"Don't tell me it's alive."
Living islands were not rare in this world. Zou itself was proof. Once the restrictions were lifted, Zunesha simply walked wherever it wished, and the Mink Tribe followed along because their lives were tied to the great elephant.
Was Bagram the same kind of case?
"Yes," Yahiko said. "The island is actually a giant Sea King shaped like a turtle. It should be a hegemon class Sea King, above the island eating level. Its speed is ridiculous."
Yahiko could have stopped it if he wanted to. Killing it outright would have been enough.
But the turtle had always wandered peacefully, and its movement was still a safe way to travel. Yahiko had planned to wait until it stopped before reporting everything.
He just did not expect its destination to be Raftel.
"Hegemon class…"
Ryuunosuke thought for a moment, then nodded.
"Understood. Come over. That's fine. Gakido and the others can get used to the ship first."
"Understood, Captain."
Yahiko turned to the four newly recruited Paths.
"Shurado, Gakido, follow the captain's arrangements first. Any doubts you have, the captain will have someone explain. I'll be there soon."
"I understand, Heavenly Path," all four answered together.
Even though they had been resurrected, their memories as Pain remained. They also knew they would have been corpses without Yahiko. Their loyalty to him was absolute, so they followed his words without question.
Ryuunosuke put the Dragon Hunter Order away, then called out.
"Rem, come in."
Rem stepped into the cabin in her usual gentle way.
"These four are Third Division members. Take them around the ship, help them settle in, and explain the Dragon Hunter Pirates to them. I don't have time to walk them through everything myself."
"Understood, Captain."
Rem smiled softly.
"All four of you, come with me. Let's start with the ship."
The four had been tense and confused, but Rem's calm warmth smoothed the edges right away. A smile like that could make anyone relax, even in the strangest situation.
They followed her out.
Once the cabin cleared, the power surging in Ryuunosuke's body slowly settled.
He raised his hand.
"System, open the Phantom Gift Pack."
"System, open the Six Paths Gift Pack."
"System, open the Seven Sins Gift Pack."
He cracked all three at once.
The moment the rewards unlocked, his aura erupted like a storm tide.
Everyone fighting around the ship felt it.
At the same time, energy began surging inside their bodies too, pouring in like a sudden flood.
For a heartbeat, the entire Dragon Hunter crew went quiet.
Then, one after another, they sat down on deck, breathing steadily, focusing on controlling that extra power.
"Captain, what is happening?"
Diane felt the abrupt increase in her strength, and it was not small. It spread through her limbs like fire.
She could not help worrying.
Power like that did not just appear for no reason.
And everyone on the ship was reacting the same way.
"The captain just made a huge breakthrough," Meliodas said, forcing the energy down into his core. "And since you all got recruited at once, the overflow hit everyone together. Absorb it first. I'll explain later."
He stabilized himself and began fusing the gain into his body.
The others did the same.
For a moment, only Kaido and Sevian remained standing, watching the scene with baffled faces.
Did the entire Dragon Hunter Pirates crew just got stronger at the same time?
Kaido scratched his head. Sevian looked like he had swallowed a nail.
Then a sharp twang cut through the air.
Boom.
Cynthia broke free from her restraints, swung up onto her fawn, and loosed an arrow straight at Sevian.
In her eyes, everything Sevian had done over the last two days made him more hateful than anyone aboard the Dragon Hunter Pirates.
They were already rivals with the crew.
But Sevian had once been one of them.
And betrayal always tasted worse than any enemy's blade.
