Susie frowned, clearly far less optimistic than her brother.
"Leif, we've already secured the shares for those two malls."
"I know."
"Don't you think there's something suspicious about all this?" Susie's brows knitted tighter, unease prickling in her chest.
"What could be suspicious? The people inside are already on our payroll. Nothing will go wrong," Leif said dismissively.
"But it's too smooth," Susie pressed. Having spent years in Nocta, trained by professionals, she had sharper instincts and a keener sense for danger than Leif. Her expression grew grim.
