The night was no longer what it used to be.
It had once been nothing more than a cover for darkness…but now, it had become something alive watching them, breathing with them, hiding within its depths something far worse than death itself. The very death they had always tried to escape… was now walking among them.
They all stood frozen in place, as if time itself had stopped at that exact moment.
Everything they thought they knew about this world had become nothing more than a drop in an ocean of secrets and mystery an ocean that had wrapped around their lives like a living predator that had finally caught its prey.
Yusuf's body still lay before them, his blood not yet dry.but the real horror was not his death… it was the truth he left behind.
A truth that opened countless doors of doubt.
Were they truly human?
Or were some of them… part of the People of the Last Silence?
No one trusted anyone anymore.
The faces they knew, the voices they believed in, even the memories they shared… all of it had become uncertain. Trust had collapsed into a pit of betrayal and deception.
Mustafa slowly raised his head, his eyes searching the darkness not for an enemy, but for an answer.
But he found nothing… except silence.
Omar let out a quiet, unstable laugh, as if his mind was beginning to break under the weight of it all.
Sarah gripped her sword tightly, looking at each of them as if seeing them for the very first time.
And in the center…Fatima stood.
She was not afraid.
She did not hesitate.
She simply stared ahead, as if she could see what no one else could.
She spoke in a low voice, yet it cut through the silence like a blade:
"This is only the beginning…"
Her words were not a warning…they were a verdict.
And in that moment, they all realized a terrifying truth:
They did not escape hell…
hell came out with them.
Silence lingered for a few seconds…until Omar's voice broke it, his laughter still carrying a trace of madness—or perhaps his refusal to accept the reality he was trapped in.
Omar (sarcastically):
"So… who wants to start? Which one of us isn't human?"
No one laughed.
Instead, they turned toward him with tense, warning looks. Each of them instinctively placed a hand on their weapon, watching one another carefully, as if analyzing every detail of each face and movement.
Rayan (angrily):
"This is not the time for jokes, Omar!"
Omar (coldly):
"And who said I was joking? Yusuf was with us… talking, eating… living among us… and then?"
he pauses Then speaks:
"He died… or was exposed. I don't even know what happened to him."
Adam (nervously):
"That means any one of us could be next… if we don't take precautions."
Sarah (slightly raising her sword):
"So what? We just wait until we're picked off one by one? Or do we act?"
Mustafa (deadly calm):
"We calm down first… and follow my brother Mohamed's strategy."
All eyes turned to him.
Mustafa:
"Panic is exactly what the enemy wants. If we start doubting each other… we'll destroy ourselves."
Rayan (tense):
"And what do you suggest? That we trust each other like nothing happened?"
Mustafa (firmly):
"No… we trust, but carefully. No matter how well they imitate us, there must be a flaw."
Sarah took a deep breath.
Sarah:
"And how do we spot it? Yusuf showed nothing… no difference at all."
A brief silence.
Then Fatima spoke, her voice low but sharp:
Fatima:
"They don't just imitate our appearance…
they imitate the soul."
A shiver ran through them.
Adam:
"You mean… they can act exactly like us?"
Fatima:
"Worse than that…they can be a better version of us."
A heavy silence fell.
Omar (faint smile):
"Great… so we're doomed."
Mustafa (firm):
"No. It means we need rules."
Rayan:
"What kind of rules?"
Mustafa:
"From now on… no one moves alone.
No one disappears.
And any strange behaviour… is dealt with immediately."
Sarah (looking around):
"Even if it's… one of us?"
Mustafa looked at them all, then said slowly:
Mustafa:
"Especially if it's one of us."
Tense glances were exchanged.
Omar (light laugh):
"Wonderful… what a happy family."
Fatima (calmly):
"It's not over yet…"
All eyes turned to her.
Fatima:
"Yusuf was not the last."
The air froze.
Rayan (quietly):
"What do you mean…?"
Fatima stared into the darkness behind them… and whispered:
Fatima:
"They're already here."
In one swift motion, she drew a magnum pistol and a samurai sword, her gaze locking forward…Where dozens no, hundreds of glowing red eyes emerged from the darkness.
Her body tensed, a faint smile forming on her lips.
Fatima:
"It's time to dance."
Then she added bitter sarcasm:
"Too bad… my husband isn't here…he loves this kind of dance."
The shadows surged forward.
What attacked them was not merely creatures…it was as if darkness itself had chosen to take form and kill.
Those red eyes ignited in the void, moving unnaturally fast, drawing closer… multiplying… until escape no longer felt like an option.
Fatima was the first to move.
A magnum shot thundered through the air, piercing one of their heads… but it didn't fall.
It smiled Then it laughed.
A deep, horrifying laugh that shook the entire place like an earthquake.
Omar (shocked):
"They… they don't die?! What do we do now, mother?"
Mustafa (shouting):
"Don't stop fighting! Aim for the head and the heart!"
Chaos erupted.
Blades flashed, bullets flew, and screams blended with the sickening sound of twisted bodies hitting the ground.
But it was like fighting an endless tide.
For every one that fell… two more appeared.
For every step forward… darkness swallowed them back twice as far.
And then Everything stopped.
As if time itself had frozen… as if existence had paused.
A sudden, terrifying silence.
Even the creatures stood still.
Then… they slowly parted, as if making way for something.
Heavy footsteps echoed through the void.
Someone… or something… was approaching.
It emerged from the shadows.
Taller than them… slower… yet its presence alone crushed the air in their lungs.
Its eyes… were not just red they pulsed… as if an entire hell burned within them.
Then… it smiled.
The Voice (calm… yet terrifying):
"Well done…"
Everyone froze.
Rayan (whispering):
"Who… is that?"
No one answered.
But Fatima tightened her grip on her weapon, her eyes widening…she knew.
Her own words echoed in her mind:
"Some secrets… are buried with their owners."
The Voice:
"A simple test… to see who deserves to live."
It took a step forward.
The ground trembled beneath them.
Mustafa (low voice):
"Get ready… death is waiting for us."
But the voice interrupted:
"No."
Its smile widened.
"Now… the real hunt begins."
In a single instant The lights went out.
Everything vanished.
Even their screams…were swallowed by the darkness.
